Flooding Update
As of 8:30 this morning the flood waters have receeded and we were able to make a brief tour through the house. Most of the furniture is ruined, we've determined there is an electrical issue where only part of the wiring is working. With the sewer system having failed, the entire house smells like a waste water treatment plant.
Total rainfall so far has been 24+ inches of rain and we're expecting another six to eight inches over the next twenty four hours due to T.S Fay having become stationary. So we're not sure whether or not the house will be flooding a second time. As such we'll be remaining in a hotel room for at least another night, possibly more.
