Unfortunately for anyone who may be watching…
Taiki usually leads a very boring life.
He hasn’t left his house much since returning from Peru. The weather gives a nice cover but the fact is he’s afraid of snapping out of one of his spells in an unfamiliar place. Best to stick close to home.
There’s not much variance in his day-to-day routine. Taiki sleeps very little, wakes very early, and devotes most of his time to work. His diet consists almost entirely of hot tea, especially since his memory problems started up. It’s really no wonder that he looks the way he does; he won’t gain weight or a healthy pallor until he starts taking care of himself.
After morning yoga it’s tea, shower, dress, and work. These days his reports are completed mostly from home; it took a threat of quitting for Taiki to even get deskwork thrown his way. With the doctors refusing to give him a clean bill of health concerning his mental and physical state, Murasawa has withheld field jobs since pulling him out of Peru.
It’s obvious that mobile phone technology is not Taiki’s only weakness. The majority of his browser history is naturally research-related, with a few personal links scattered about -Christmas shopping, and oddly enough FC Tokyo updates.
Ingoing and outgoing e-mails are the same. This is likely where most of his personal interactions can be found outside of the video monitoring his daily activities.
There is a folder marked ‘Nakao’ which contains daily correspondence from a temperamental and moody acquaintance. The most recent message contains a number of threats and name-calling. Apparently Taiki is a hypocrite and there’s mention of an unfortunate meeting the psychic had with another individual - Nakao is very unhappy over it. A response was sent out immediately, apologizing and offering a tongue-in-cheek reasoning for his actions.
The ‘Nakatsu’ folder is overflowing. None of the incoming messages have been replied to since February 22nd. Since then the e-mails have fluctuated from apologies to casual, personal updates. All of them have been read but none deleted.
A few personal photographs sit in a folder on his desktop. Taiki appears in very few -though it is obvious that he is much younger in some. High school perhaps. The rest seem to be coastal scenes, images of a bleach-blond male, a handful of another short male (that Lisbeth may or may not recognize as Prince Charming from the Halloween event) at what appears to be a clothing design shop, and an absurd number of a cat. Very few of these images were actually added by Taiki -he hates that stupid cat.
There’s not much on his hard drive outside of reports and corresponding photographs/video. Every single file is immaculately organized -using folders, cross-references, and job-tag identifications. Most seem to be firsthand accounts and evidence of various supernatural and folklore creatures. The folder from Japan is obviously the largest -containing hundreds of jobs from nearly every island and ranging from tiny fairy-like yosei to a bean-grinding azukibabaa hag that devours people. There are also sizable folders for South America (chupacabra,
sacaojo, almamula), New York (spirits), and the United Kingdom (spirits, fae, Jack Frost, howlers, fen animals).
Very boring indeed.
[Video scene and hopefully something more interesting to come. Sinus infection is eating my face off.]
