OOC: Shoppin' for the boys

Jun 23, 2009 22:52

Nothing is more fun than a virtual shopping spree. And I decided that they need...stuff. It was hard not to buy them extravagant things...But my boys are thrifty and sensible!

So, the story is, when Shuichi moved in Taiki really didn't have any furniture. He had...a twin-sized bed and a desk. And a couple bowls, plates, and maybe a saucepan. Maybe. Oodles of books in mismatched shelving all over the house, but that's about it. So he bought the "essentials" and they have accumulated other things bit by bit and now they have a fully furnished home. Granted, it's an all-male home (with exception of the cat, of course)...but it is a nice, cozy little home.
My boys dun good.

Bedroom:

The bed, obviously. (This was Shuichi's bed before they got together. Taiki's old one is now the guest bed.)

Livingroom:

(but well worn in...not abused, just...comfy)

Taiki's chair. It has a blanket that is often used in conjunction. He usually sits curled up in it with a book or a magazine or something. Unless there's a game on, then he's glued to that.

The Study:

Probably the most expensive thing they own. Shuichi bought it for Taiki when he graduated from Todai U. It's back in the study, surrounded on all sides by floor to ceiling bookshelves. Occassionally it is a cat perch, but usually it is very tidy and well-cared for.

This has an obscenely large, fluffy pillow on it and yes, another blanket. Taiki loves blankets. This probably gets more use than the desk, though, unfortunately. And it is second-hand. It is between here and his chair in the livingroom that Taiki gets most of his work done when it is brought home. It is also a safe bet that he is in one of those spots if he is not in bed...

...Good gravy boys...You need some color in your lives. But Shuichi cares only slightly more than Taiki (who cares not at all) when it comes to furniture, style, etc. If it functions, then it's a winner.
