I got a job at the local onsen, helping out with maintenance.

...What the hell is all this, am I really just supposed to sit back and act like this is my new home now? I'm beginning to doubt I had any choice in the matter, coming here. It just is too strange. Ah, it's good to hear you're starting to settle in.

The Onsen staff likes to hold parties every now and then, so that might be a little extra work, but I don't think it should be too hard.

Yeah, I'm managing. Showing up with nothing but the clothes on my back at least gives me motivation to earn some cash while I'm here.

I'm a teaching assistant over at the school. It doesn't pay the best, but rent and food are free, so there's not a whole lot to buy.

Are you gonna go to school?

Hmm.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Except I don't mind this sudden and rather welcome summer vacation. I wonder if it was summer vacation where I came from, or the middle of the year? How is the school, anyway? Have the teachers been here for long enough that they remember being qualified, or anything like that?

Well, uh... some of the teachers are kind of incredibly weird. Especially the new science teacher.

That aside, I mean, it's school. It's nice to have something to do.
