Weekend Update - Attack on Black Walnut...
I hate the black walnut tree in my back yard. I also hate the SweetGum tree too. But I can't do anything about that tree right now. But the Black Walnut... well I can do some damage to it before it does it to me. I have been cutting away at it for a couple of years. Lower branches and volunteer trees be damned. I take them out when I can. Well Saturday I took out a portion of the tree that basically covered the lower and midsection of the tree. I took an Axe to it and once it came down, cut everything up with the Reciprocating Saw or I broke up with my hands. This one big branch/Volunteer tree removed a lot of the the "Noise" of this tree. There is a wido-maker hanging about halfway up. I can't reach it, so I will be mindfull of it whenever I'm back there. I'm thinking the next big storm will send it straight through the roof of my shed... Hopefully not, but the way things have been going for me in 2017, I wouldn't be surprised.
I worked my ass off back here till 3:00pm where I decided it was time to go in. I had done about 12,500 steps by then and I was pooped!
I am so not looking forward to this years cleanup of the Tick Farm... I was back there dumping SweetGum Balls that I had raked up and it looks horrible. I'm actually in the process of trying to find a place where I can dump this stuff. Not like illegal dumping, but like at the dump dumping. Or maybe a recycle center that makes mulch. That way I can really go in there and clean that place up really well. And if Dumb-Ass Al dumps anymore shit back there.... it's going to end up on his driveway.
