So Friday Night I decided I could at least get one thing done from the project table... or As I have been calling it lately - The P3. I really didn't know where to start. There is so much to do and to get any of it done, I would have to purchase additional parts to complete it and I was heading out tomorrow to pick up a few things. So the one thing I found was a box of Electrical & A/V parts. I decided that I would start there. The first thing I did was empty the box and lay everything out so I could see what was there.
- The Empty Bin
- 1 - Surge Suppressor Bar
- 1 - Surge suppressor Plug - 6 plex
- 1 - 18' Rope Light
- 1 - RBG component cable
- 1 - 5.1 surrond system & subwoofer
- 3 - Dimmers
- 1 - optical eye aThingee and I/R Receiver
I put everything away in the proper Bins but the surround system / Subwoofer & the Optical thing, I need it for the living room project. I am going to get rid of the Subwoofer. It needs a little work and I don't like this one. I prefer powered subs to this kind - too much wiring.
1 thing done and out of the P3 - Project Parts Pile.
I do have a proud moment of To-Doneness... I took the Center Channel Speaker from the Surround Sound Package and hooked it up to the upstairs TV. The Center channel is where the dialog is designed to come out of and I haven't had one up stairs. What I have been doing is cranking up the volume to compensate. Hopefully this will allow me to run at a lower volume.
