All the Days Just Run Together Anymore...
I have no Idea when I did this. Well, I know when I did part of it, but not the pickets. Here's what I did about 6 years ago:
Everything was fine. I had planned to finish it, but Why? It was doing fine the way it was. But sometime last year I got a letter from the HOA Telling me that I have violated some stupid ass rule about being able to see my trash cans from my neighbors yard. Uhhhh 6 years later... I wasn't happy and as you can see... I didn't comply. They left me alone too. But I also decided to finish it. So over Presidents day weekend this year, I did this.
It doesn't look like much, but I had other stuff to do. For one, I had to move this and the post on the left - in towards the house about 3 inches - To straighten the line. About a month later, I finally did this:
It's not pretty. Not at all. It doesn't match the other gate on the right (in front of the A/C unit). I was in a hurry. And I decided it isn't about it being pretty - It was about building the frame of the gates. When I redo this side of the fence, I'll redo this service porch with new pine pickets and I'll use these cedar slats for the fireplace project. It will look better. And of Course I'll post pic's.
