For nearly 2 years I have had some serious battles over my camper and how to get it in the back yard. I ended up keeping it at Al the LandScaper's house for about 18 months - I knew that was going to have to end soon. So I was mowing my lawn and it seriously hit me. The Idea. If I could move the fence about 3 feet closer to my house I could pull the camper between Lyon's House and my fence. I came up with a plan and By God this one was a viable plan...Really!
I needed to use the camper the first weekend of October - Lacy Campout - So I pulled the camper from Al's and rented a storage space for about 45 days... It cost me $93. I now had a temporary home where I could get to the camper as needed easily. One problem solved. I was giving myself till October 31st to get the fence moved over and the camper moved into the Back Yard. I had 4 weekends to get it done. Here is the schedule for the Construction:
- Lacy Campout
- Rained
- (Saturday): Rented Auger - Drilled 4 post holes - Set 4 posts (Sunday): Manually dug 5th post hole - set Post
- (Saturday): Sprayed house inside and Outside - Dogs to Groomer (Sunday): Started moving Sections of fence ended up moving board by board till 9:00pm (Monday): got home late from work - nothing (Tuesday):Picked up 25 more pickets - worked on the board placements Till 8:00pm (Wednesday): Pulled old Posts - worked on the fence & cleaning area till 9:00pm.
Finally done enough to get camper thursday night (30th). It's got some issues and areas that need boards ripped to fit, but I don't have the time just yet - I'm running out of time.
Thursday October 30th - Late - I picked up the camper and finally after some finagling got it in the back yard. Not parked where I want to keep it, but at least it's here. Biggest Problem solved... With a day to spare.
I did finally get back to the fence on November 1st. I cleaned it up really well. The gaps are filled - the Gate post straightened - all the scrap wood picked up and the dirt leveled out.
