Project: Garage Clean-up and Out - Go Through Paint

Oct 13, 2013 20:51

The first picture is the before and the second is the after.  I went through all the paint and was able to weed a few cans out.  All the cans on the bottom are GONE from the garage!
List of Crap out the door:
  1. Quik-Tube (recycle bin)
  2. 3 cans of spray paint (used them) - trash
  3. 3 Gallon cans - really old and hard - trash
  4. 1 Gallon can - wall sealer- going to give to Johnnie. for his basement project
  5. 1 container of Joint compound - dried up - trash
  6. 4 quarts of matte paint - trash
  7. 1 white plastic container - put into the container pile
  8. 1 blue plastic container - put into the container pile
  9. 1 bottle of tire cleaner - put it away in the car cleaner box
  10. 2 trailer spare tires - put away in the shed
I even labeled all the can with tape and descriptions: room / color / project.  I can pick up any can and know exactly what it is and what it's for.

Soon I'll be repainting all the rooms in the house and this will make it so much easier to find the cans that I need - with the color recipes.

Side note... I completed a project as a by product of this mini clean-up.  I frosted the front door windows using up 2 cans of spray Frost.

So This Mini Clean-up Results:

13 Items in the trash.
2 containers emptied
3 Items put away
2 Projects Completed:
  • Front Windows Frosted
  • Go Through all the Paint
Not bad for about 2 hours worth of work.

I never know why I keep putting these projects off and not just doing them when I first think of them.  I guess they seem like they are going to take longer than they actually do.  Those 2 projects have been on the list for over 2YEARS!  Really.  I couldn't just have done them and moved on.... Well, I'm glad I've been getting back to basics around here.  Not exactly the 10 thing Challenge... But I'm still working on Lightening the load of Stuff around here.  When I get a chance, I'll spill the beans on what my true goal is.

But not today.  Today is just revel in my to-doneness.
