We decided to revive the E-Team. For Health and Happiness reasons. And Boy I'm glad we did. I chose to go to Toccoa Susspension Bridge - GC2680. It was one of the caches from 2001 I still needed to do... and I knew Goss would like to do some old school cachin'.... this ended up being my 1669 cache that I've logged on line. I've got more, but it would screw up my other goal of getting my diff/terr average up to a 2/2.
This was Shotgun!'s 48th and Goss's 307th. Hopefully... this is just a beginning to a wonderful re-introduction to geocaching.

I'm still ticked off we didn't go to Dairy Queen After.
But thank you for some fun time out in the woods. I like the fact that I didn't get too dirty so I don't have to get a bath.
What!!!!.... You're Kidding me???
Gotta go, Mamma startin' up the tub.....

Yup... Goss was right. We waddled. But we laughed and laughed and did everything we always do except fall and sing dirty songs from South Park!
We dawdled, Got out of the house late, got Lost, drove us off the road on accident, then drove off the rode on purpose, met crazy characters, Pottied in the woods, then found a bathroom right around the corner, started going away from the cache, 4 wheeled up a steep incline to turn around - (So steep that the hitch got buried in the mud when I came back down) - parked the car, nearly slid down the hill, went to the bridge, scared Shotgun!, went up and down the trail like 4 times, faux-bushwhacked - which tickled me ever so - then for real bushwhacked through stickery trees and over slippery logs, walked around in circles for about 10 minutes till I heard a familiar...
Found it.
Errrrr. I wish things would change just a little. Seems I do all the work of getting us to the area and Goss gets the find. Every. Flipping. Time.
Well, I guess I don't care about that too much. I'm just happy we get to go out and have these adventures. I wouldn't trade them for anything. Thanks Robert for Bringing The E-team (mostly) together. I know Lucy was disappointed she didn't get to go... but Shotgun! filled in nicely.
Then there was the going back to the car... now that's a story in itself. One I will save for another day.

The E-Team Rides Again! Okay, so it was more like a waddle, but still. Caught up with Annie! this morning and headed up. The directions were fairly accurate, but read more like "Head North on Hwy 60 to Rock Creek Rd, miss your turn and do a U-ie in the middle of the highway, take left and oogle the pretty houses for 2.9 miles until you see another Fish Hatchery sign, stop and discuss, take right over bridge, you will need to floor it through a small stream to make unnecessarily big splashes, careen down forest road until you see hikers heading down a trailhead, pause, continue, realize you missed your turn, do a super-tight turn that makes your passenger grasp the O-S*** bar with both hands, park and descend down to the cache. This is *only* your beginning". Oh yes, and I forgot the part about stopping at the country store and having an animated chat with the shopkeeper, a one Mr. Brokeneck. That alone was nearly entertaining as the cache. It was a fun. fun time with my dear friend with a subtle reminder about how out-of-shape my ample rear has become! Thanks for a wonderful start to 2012!
