OK Homer is complete...

I picked up the Tires today.  While I was there, I picked up a new blade as well.   I thought he deserved it.

Here is the final picture in comparison to the brand new $1200 one in the store.

Funny.  Lucy looks totally bored and Foster justs wants to get inside as fast as he can.  The only thing I can see I might need to do is spray paint the back rims gray.  And maybe spray the fronts as well, you know... so they would match.

The finall tally for the costs is...
itemqtycost @totalpurchased wherepaint - Valspar Gloss Cherry2 $    3.44  $    6.88 Lowesair filter1 $ 12.99  $ 12.99 Ace Hardwarenon skid tape1 $    1.99  $    1.99 Ace Hardwaremuffler kit1 $ 25.99  $ 25.99 Ace Hardwaretires - rear2 $ 48.00  $ 96.00 Ace Hardwarereturned can of spray paint1 $   (3.44) $   (3.44)Lowesblack duct tape1 $    2.79  $    2.79 Ace Hardwareblade1 $ 17.99  $ 17.99 Ace Hardwarespark plug1 $    2.29  $    2.29 Home DepotStickers   $       -    seat   $       -    Total Spent   $163.48       TAX 7% $ 11.44      $174.92
So for roughly 13.6% of the price of a new mower, I have one that runs and kinda looks like one, It's paid for and best of all I did the work myself.

Not bad.  I think he looks great and starts up with out much trouble.  I am pretty proud of the job I did.  But not as much as I am surprised that I didn't break something major in the process.  This plan worked like it was supposed to.

Which is the most amazing thing.  They never work like they are supposed to.  OK, sometimes they do, but I can't remember the last time that happened.
