Update on Geo-Database...

Jul 20, 2009 22:12

I was able to update the database with all my finds going back to March 2008.  I must have been on crack because I haven't messed with the database since then.  All the stuff that needs to be done:

As of 7-23-09 what has been completed is marked off in Red
  • Add all my finds
  • Add all missing caches
  • update all the web id's
  • update all the name changes of the cache owners
  • update all the counties  - missing around 350 counties
  • update all the geoyear, year listed and month listed
  • check the major cache owners for archived caches
  • update Lucy and Dollie finds in the database
  • update Lucy and Dollie finds on GC.com
  • Throw some interesting facts out there for y'all in pie chart form
    • container size
    • cache types
    • diff / terr charts
    • year listed counts
I think that might do it.  I know it's not necessary for me to do this.  Keeping this database is kind of silly for the amount of caching I do.  But I hope one day to return to caching.  Also this is an opportunity to keep my mind busy and look busy at the same time.

I started of thinking of things I could do while waiting for that last day and I came up with another little project... go through all my receipts and organize all my medical stuff.  This way, I'll actually be ready when my dad asks for my tax info.  I will have a bottom line number that will tell me whether I should be able to claim it or not.  Instead of rushing around like a crazy person during December and January.

geo-caching, work
