I love Simon Pegg. I think he is hysterical in a goofy everyman way. The movie is cute. Predictable, but cute. Hank Azaria gives his usual perfect performance. And Thandie Newton... who knew she was that funny! I love the fact that she is a huge practical joker and when Pegg was at a press conference she spiked all his water bottles with Vodka! I must remember that one... Hmmm the GGA challenge is a couple of months...
The story moves pretty good. It's a -boy leaves girl preggers at the altar, realizes he screwed up wants her back, comes up with harebrained scheme to win her back, hilarity ensues- flick.
I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
He of course has a wacky best friend sidekick kind of guy who steals the scenes - but isn't that expected. Sometimes those characters are the only reason to see the movie... but not this time, he's just an added bonus.
