I will never in my life understand...
Why people bring their loud and unruly small children into the Church. There is a Cry-room designed and built especially just for those parishioners. The children can't help it. Its hard for them to sit still and be quiet for any length of time, so I understand the noise and unruliness. What I don't get is why parents feel the need to burden the rest of the congregation with their poor choices? Their choice to sit in the main church. Now I showed up on time and found a spot in the middle of the church. 3 seperate families with several children EACH surrounded me. The kids pounded the bench with keys and sippy cups and talked loudly with each other and to themselves as kids will do. The parents shushed them and then gave me a "Kids will be Kids" look. what they needed to do was pick the kids up and take them out of the main church and put their ASSES in the Cry Room with the other babies!
I couldn't hear anything that was said from the altar.
All I can say is I went to church and got my ashes. I didn't get any spiritual inspiration at all. I didn't get to hear any of the readings either.
I think I'm bringing the dogs next time and let them run around. I promise I'll shush them and give a "Dogs will be Dogs" look. See how they like it.
I still bet my babies are more behaved then the ones that were at the church today.
