Foster and I headed out to the park around 6:20pm. We worked our way around the park East to west. It seems easier for both of us to go that way. It gives us a chance to cool down after tackling some hills. It's probalby time to mix it up again so he doesn't get locked in to a particular pattern. Afterwards we headed to the car for some water and some A./C. I think foster was more interested with the Frisbee guys that pulled up as we were getting to the car.
Then I decided to head out for some caches. We hit the secret field which was on our list from a couple weeks ago and we also did the elusive silver vs something or other.

The Secret Field (Traditional Cache) Out and about for some caching after my nightly walk at William's Mill with Foster. I Decided before I left the house that I would go for this cache because it is the next closest cache to my house. So Foster and I parked the car where we wouldn't bother anyone. I lowered the windows, poured a bowl of cold water for him, locked the car and headed for the cache. I knew he would be ok since it was dusk, a nice breeze was blowing through the windows, he had some water and I wouldn't be gone very long. Besides, I have to force him to go on the walks at night. He really doesn't like the outdoors. Only odg I have ever known to not like going outside. So he was happy as a clam sitting right there. I trucked out to the cache sight. I didn't know that it was possible for me to do anything quietly but apparently I made it to this cache in unknownst to me stealth mode. I know this because as I was looking in the ammo can 3 deer snorted really loud... about 15 feet behind me. It startled me so bad, I pretty much crapped myself. I thought the bigfoot tribe had come to town looking for their "Kin". Seriously, the deer gave me a fright though it was really cool to see them up close like that. I replaced the cache, covered it up, removed the stickers from my fingers and then returned to Foster in about 15 minutes time. He was just sitting in the front seat just taking it all in... not even breaking a sweat or panting. Must be nice.
Thanks for the cache.

Silver vs. the Elusive Mouse (Multi-cache) I love this cache. It is so ingenius. As I pulled up to the final I noticed it was where it was supposed to be. I thought it was gone. But upon closer inspection, I found it laying on the ground just out of sight. I made sure after signing the log, that I put it back the way it was intended.
Thanks for the cache. It still is a good-in'.
We then went home and I gave the kids a treat...
they each got a
Busy bone. And yes I got about 30 minutes of peace and quiet. I no longer give them rawhides anymore because they can choke to death, and nearly have. So I give them each one of these and they are 3 of the happiest babies ever. I was able to watch a little bit of the Olympics. I know that guy is the fastest Man in the world, but I think he is an arrogant ass without an ounce of sportsmanship. The Jamaican Woman who won was just as bad. Well, a couple of years ago it was the U.S., but I bet Jamaica doesnt' get the international reeming we got though.
I filled out my cache logs and chatted with Boxerlady about an email we got from phat.bak. Answered all the email I got from fellow cachers and called it a night. I tried to stay up and watch The Beach volleyball Gold Medal Match... But I was pretty tired and this match was getting me worked up it was so close... so I just shut it off and said a prayer for the USA Team.
Found out this morning ... They won. Way to go!
I am approaching the 1500 cache mark. I would love to do a special cache for it, but it truly isn't that important to me. I have only once chosen a special cache for a milestone and that was for 1000. I chose a phat.bak cache because we had been competing all summer to see who would get there first. So I was thinking about it last night on the drive home... the plaque that I had made up for my 1000th find and I wondered if I would do the same thing for this cache as well as for the WRC... AND IT HIT ME! I had been wondering for a couple of days why all of a sudden AG decided to jump into the WRC MIX. And during this moment of reflection on my way home the answer hit me... they must be coming out with a coin. or better yet, she is designing a coin to be offered for sale after completion of the WRC just like the DeLorme challeng coin. Makes sense now. Not that it really matters, I just thought it was odd at the time when she jumped in. But now it makes total sense.
Now that I'm through all that... I still don't know if I'll come up with something special or if I'll even plaque-erize My 1500th find. I know I'll get a coin though.
