Before After:
My workbench
Before: After:
I bought a brand new 10 foot counter top. I threw away the makeshift door I was using. It was on sale for $82.00 and I had a $25 gift card from the clean air campaign I had to use. See to the left above the tool chest... I hung the cabinet. I don't know what ot put in it yet, but I will figure something. I have a stack of wood to the right of the workbench. It has the drywall for my cool wall thing I'm going to do in the office.
By the way, I started this endeavor around 10:00AM. I finally made it back into the house at 8:45pm. Lucy was pissed. Dollie hung outside on the lead all day, she was happy. I found a new home for the shop-vac and the compressor. I also Loaded up the jeep as I filtered through the crap. I I can't believe how much I threw away in the dumpster. But not as much as how much is still here. I had an old trash can that I filled up with project stuff. Things that were laying around because I hadn't done them yet. As soon as I do the last project, I can throw the trash can out. I also was able to get to the A/C and change the filter. Finally. What a bigger pain in my crack that was!
Here's what i didn't get done...
Before:
Here's what it looks like now...
Not much change. I did move the golf rack with clubs, the karate bag, softball equipment and Bowling ball inside into the fitness room. I had to throw the container of treats away - they had bugs in it. I did move the plastic drawers to above the workbench and the weedeater has gone back to the shed.
Here's what I need to do on this side...
- Go through my cache stuff, and put out the spawn caches.
- put the left over wood in the wood pile
- Find the bin with All my karate equipment and put in fitness room.
- Throw away the blue canopy carry bag
- take the gift wrapping bin - put in guest room
- take the water filtration tower to good will
- Take the rest of the yard stuff up to the shed
- Give Johnnie the coleman grill - (the yellow red orange box)
- Give Lisa her ScareCrow Guy and Candy Caldron
- Take the A/C unit upstairs and put in the kitchen window
- Install the pedestal sink (yeah right)
- wash the camping blankets
I think that might be enough. At least for the time being. I still have a huge trash can full of projects I have to finish. I also have to straighten out the other side too. But it won't be so bad. Mainly just sweeping needed.
the best thing is... My cars are in the garage! With room to spare.
Update 10:44pm
As you can see I went out and did a few things. While I was going through the stuff out there, I came across 2 more give away gifts for the camp-out - A lantern (I have plenty) and a roadside assistance thing (the one KVOM wanted so bad that Rebel and I kept from him at christmas).
I also put together 3 caches (ammo cans) ready to plant. Bug towlettes, coleman waterproof bags and a first aid kit were added to my cache box. I poured out 3 half gallon containers of water that have been in the garage since the last campout. I poured them on the new azaleas and recycled the containers.
I am overwhelmed with how it all looks so far, the garage and fitness room that is. My cars are in their place. There's plenty of room to walk around. I know where everything is. All the tools are organized. I even found a use for a bunch of the Lock and Locks that I have stored in that gray box on the bottom of the last picture. I still have a bunch more, but I think I'm going to use them upstairs in the kitchen. I am so excited about the last 2 day's results... I can't go to sleep.
I am thirsty as heck too. When I came in around 8:45pm, I had an adult beverage... A beer. I drank it so fast, I surprised myself. So fast, that even the last gulp was ice cold.
Well my back is killing me... in a good "I worked my ass off" Way. I'm going to go take a shower and try to lay down. Good night Everyone.
Happy Fourth of July!
