Fish Saga continues...

So I start working on the tank around 4:00pm.  By 4:30pm I have made such a mess all I can do is cuss out one side of my mouth and thank Jesus that I moved the tank downstairs incase of things like this.  The hose to the filtration system dislodged and shot about 3 or 4 gallons of water on the floor.  Or should I say carpet... so you get the whole picture.  I then broke everything I touched.  Spilled anything liquid.  Whatever I didn't break I dropped and then broke.

It's now 12:37am.  I am now finally done with the freakin' aquarium.  The water has been drained and cleaned.  The filtration system has been switched for the other one I had.  BTW I fixed it after I broke the priming switch.  I moved the aquarium away from the wall so I could Sop up some of the water that was spilled.  I removed all the plants and cleaned all the rock.  Installed a new shelf in the aquarium stand to help with the massive amounts of fish products clutter.  Cleaned up the mess in the garage from the making of the shelf.  Filled the tank back up.  Took the tropical fish to lyon's.  Picked up a bag of gravel and some driftwood for the tank from his back patio (it had been sitting there for over a year.  Cleaned those items with bleach.  Put them in the tank.  Cleaned the old filtration system.  Took a break to stop the bleeding on my thumb from the cut I got when I opened the filtration system.  (BTW I'm off the blood thinners but it sure bled like I was still on them)  I cleaned the downstairs bathroom where I had put everything to drain.  Broke the tub drain.  The metal snapped and I think this will take a plumber to fix.  Picked up all the miscellaneous crap laying around that has to do with this project and put it away.

And now it's time to go to bed.

What a long day.  That was an 8.5 hour job.  Still more fun than Kmart stuff.
