a Honda del Sol. I have been looking and Looking. I have found a couple, but I am not exactly ready to buy. With the whole transition to Fruit of the Loom, Not sure if I will need a commuter car in the long run....If you get my drift.
If all stays the same, I will need a commuter car. One that is very gas friendly and dependable. I also have decided it should be as little as possible too. hence the choice of the del Sol. I owned a 1985 Honda CRX for nearly 10 years and loved it. Drove it till it nearly dropped. At the time when I got rid of it, I wanted a car with a trunk. And I felt it was time for a new car. I loved that car. I washed and waxed that thing every week...And drove it back and forth to KC (from Tampa) twice a year without a hitch and got I shit you not - 51 miles a gallon Highway.
Soooo when I decided I needed a commuter car, I thought about that little car. Do you know how hard it is to find a CRX that hasn't been bastardized with Pimpy peurto rican paint and a freakin' 7 foot wing spoiler thing on the back! so I thought about the del Sol. You know what. I could buy one for 5 grand spend 2 grand on a new engine and VOILA! A great car that could go for another 10 years.
Plus it's a Honda.
And it's a hardtop convertible, so it's ok.
