last night (fri) was amazing!
gospel choir performed at Dreamcenter, which is sortof a hub of all sorts of amazing hardcore ministries in LA. we were performing for the first ever coffee house, a food & worship-based ministry for the homeless, geared toward the Japanese immigrant community. it was great.
this is a place which i can see is extremely blessed by God: not only are they providing a place for homeless kids, prostitutes, people with transgender-related issues, etc.. but also hosting discipleship-type programs for young, single christians.
these people are finding all sorts of new & interesting ways to tell their community about God's love, & it was really a joy to get a chance to be involved in whatever way possible.
Sungwon is praying for God's guidance as she believes that it is his will for us to be more involved in this ministry. meanwhile, i'm praying for God's guidance as i'm trying to see how the choir can be used as a tool for bringing the Deaf & hearing communities together on campus. i'm always amazed by how many uses God has for this group of young people. we're so blessed to be used by him.
& the apt is working out great, i'm meeting other people in my building, mostly because they come by looking for my roommates! hey, whatever works, right?
i wanna get up on my classes so i can spend more time writing & editing my poetry, & i can't be so stretched out as i am now..hmm..good times, tho, these are very good times .
