Progress so far + name!
Hi guys!
Bethan and I have decided on having a 'creativity' theme for the next forum. PE was pretty much in that area anyway, just lacked site content and focus. We want the next forum to be a creative arena for all kinds of creative expression and projects, ranging from the obvious things, like art and writing, to other creative projects, including role playing. So don't worry about that one!
We want to have events and 'group' projects happening on the forum as we arrange them. One of these group projects is the idea of having a e-zine; we can bring together our own creative ideas and projects and create a themed e-zine every month for people to download. This would effectively be our site content to attract new members to the site and bring them in. But we'll need to be organised about it and set up some kind of system for deciding on the content.
Any ideas, suggestions, questions, whatever you want to say; please shout them out! The more ideas we have, the more developed our site will become! Course, right now we just want to get the basics decided so we can get the forum up and running; content ideas and other bits and bobs can be decided on afterwards.
So. The next important step: Naming our new community!
We need a short, simple, and catchy name for our site. Something that'll represent creativity, expression, and our community as a whole. We've played around with words like 'creative flow' and 'project place' but we really need something unique and special. Give it a thought and post whatever random and mad ideas you might have!
We didn't want the new site to be just a copy of PE, so we didn't exactly want to use the same name either. That, and the domain name was stolen a while ago and is out of use anyway >_>
Post your name ideas and comment on what we've decided on so far. If you think we're totally going in the wrong direction, then shout at us or something :P
