Character: Sion
Series: NO. 6
Character Age: 16

Canon: The city of NO. 6 is the perfect example of Utopia. Nobody wants for anything and everybody gets along. There’s no crime, no war, no unhappiness of any sort. NO. 6 is so perfect, it’s even referred to as the Holy City. But under it’s wonderful facade lies dark secrets of strict government control, cover-ups, and human experimentation. Anyone who whispers a word of dissatisfaction vanishes, never to be heard from again. However, when people start dying from a mysterious illness, the skeletons of NO. 6 slowly start to come out of the closet.

As a gifted and extremely intelligent member of NO. 6’s society, Sion was regarded as an elite and had his whole future planned out for him from the age of two. Hidden by his quiet nature, Sion secretly harbored a wealth of fierce emotions that often threatened to burst out of him, until one night when he acted on his impulses and knowingly defied the system, taking in a wounded criminal, and giving him food and shelter. That act drastically changed his life, and as a result, he was stripped of his status and privileges, soon becoming a government target and forced to flee outside the city walls where he learned the harsh truth about what the world he thought he knew was really like. Despite the shock, Sion still retains his idealistic views, and his kind and gentle heart. A bit over-sensitive, and a little socially awkward due to his previously sheltered life, he may come across as a being naive and air-headed at times, but he is startlingly perceptive; honest in both his words and actions. He’s also extremely loyal to his friends, willing to do pretty much anything to help them.

Sample Post:

Tamiasciurus hudsonicus, otherwise known as the American Red Squirrel, is one of three species of the tree squirrel. They are garnivores, who feed on the seeds of plants, and have an extreme early mortality rate. Their average weight is about 900g, and the size of their brain is approximately 3cm, and weighs 6g. All of these facts can be easily found in books or through other resources, but listing off facts about an animal doesn’t give you a personal sense of what they’re like until you’ve spent time with them. You, Miss Squirrel, for instance, are much smarter than your brain size would suggest. You’re very friendly, too, and remind me of the mice I’m close with back home.

That probably sounds pretty strange, right? But I don’t think that just because I’m human that means I’m above anyone or anything else. Even animals have feelings. It’s for this reason that we should treasure life instead of trying to cut it down or force it into submission. I know it might be idealistic, but that’s how I really feel. Which is why when we ran into your sick friend, I knew I wanted to help you. To think that someone is kidnapping squirrels and experimenting on them is horrible! How can a person take such an innocent creature and turn them into monsters with no sense of reason. They even want to eat their own kind! It’s cruel, and whoever is responsible needs to be stopped.

I’ve got to be honest, though. I’m not sure how to even go about doing this. I’m all too aware of how powerless I actually am. I don’t know how to fight, I don’t like getting hurt, and above all else, I don’t want to die. But something needs to be done. I’ve got the determination to see this through, and I’m certainly stubborn enough not to back down. In the meantime, I think I’m going to try and find information about how to treat your species. I’m sure I can find books on the physiology of squirrels and maybe some pathology resources. If something were to happen to you or any of your friends, I wouldn’t want to be caught unprepared.

Hey, do you think there are any texts on how to give squirrels CPR?
