Isn't it crazy, how sometimes people who know each other (however distantly) will just up and take a vacation at the same time, to the same place? Like they were clued in to something interesting going on ( Read more... )

An evening of senseless but amusing money wasting is out of the way, as is a morning headache he tried very hard to hide from Geoffrey. It's finally time to play blackjack. Eddie is fond of blackjack. He is also fond of the fact that Atlantic City casinos can't throw him out for counting cards. They can try to mess with that, though, but ain't that the challenge?

He is fighting against various and sundry distractions, here, which is why he notes that someone is calling to Geoffrey, but doesn't see who, yet.

Who calls after him...ever? Only Eddie and he's right here. Geoffrey is baffled when he turns around. Caught completely off-guard. Then he sees Bruce and his eyes widen. He doesn't know whether to be thrilled that Bruce Wayne thinks they're friends or horrified that someone's come to ruin his fun vacation with Eddie.

"Bruce? Bruce Wayne! ~Hellooooo~!"
The name announcement was partly for Eddie's benefit, so the man will know that someone is here who might be aware of him from local news. Wandering off may be in order.
"What are you doing ~here~?"
Other than those two ladies.

More people's attention is probably attracted by Geoffrey's yelling than Bruce's -- Bruce Wayne? Where? I always thought he'd be taller... -- but the majority are much more interested in making or losing their own fortunes than some rich-guy reunion.

"It seemed like a casino sort of weekend, you know? What are the odds?"

He doesn't seem to even notice Eddie. Some guy? Eh. Whatever.

Eddie's going to stay put. He has the advantage, now, and he's not going to walk away from this table. Do you have any idea how much he's been keeping track of, here? Plus the casino staff keep trying to distract him, already. No, no. He's not leaving.

He just won't introduce himself, either. Geoffrey's on his own, for now.
