kidnapping

This is a kidnapping, really, which is exactly what he told Geoffrey it would be. It's an alibi. Go out to get food. Happen to walk through this park at this point in time. Eddie won't be concerned about the plan unless Geoffrey isn't here on time, and, really, he better be here on the dot ( Read more... )

Geoffrey lingers at a corner, checks his watch, then takes long strides. Careful timing, to land in the park exactly when he's expected. He wears a thick, heavy, ankle length fur coat. Black mink. Purple leather gloves. Purple scarf. Wintery days are nice when you're prepared for them.

Being kidnapped sounds terribly exciting, though he hopes it's brief. He worries about the asylum without him. Still, everyone needs some vacation time.

Eddie isn't even wearing that much green, except that his scarf is definitely that particular shade. His coat is black, sharp, and has been rather meticulously kept free of all manner of fuzz. His gloves and his hat are knit. Winter! Is awesome!

Hopefully Geoffrey doesn't expect chloroform or anything of the sort. Eddie simply... writes his way on over, at the right time, and will then continue to walk. If anyone nearby for the next few minutes really cared to read his trail, they might be able to decipher this particular part of the plan, but footprints vanish so quickly in a park, in the snow.

Ah, here comes Eddie. And...there goes Eddie. Hmm. Geoffrey can tell there's a design his friend is making, but not what that is. Not wanting it to be ruined by his own footprints, Geoffrey follows, putting his own feet in Eddie's prints.

This is an odd sort of kidnapping, indeed.

Eddie laughs. If Geoffrey's going to follow around like a duckling, the game goes from spelling things out to walking around in as odd a path as possible, for a few minutes, at least, as he meanders on out of the park.

There's a car there. Guess what color it is? Eddie hits the button on the key chain to unlock it. If Geoffrey doesn't get inside, maybe there'll be problems, huh?

Geoffrey does, indeed, shadow Eddie all the way to the car. However, he isn't going to just get in. How lame would that be? That goes from kidnapping to...I don't know..date rape? That won't do.

He stops and looks around with an air of 'this just happens to be where I was going anyway'.

Eddie leans against the car door. "Whaaaat? You'd rather I beat you up, first? I have a gun, you know." Conversational tones. This isn't anyone else's business. Unless Geoffrey wants a huge scene. That could be fun. He quirks a brow.

He hasn't been beaten up in years. He would never want to be shot. Still, shrieking while a gun is held to his head and he's forced into a car ...well... that seems like it would help Eddie's game along, wouldn't it? Maybe someone would see.
He smiles a moment, then clears his throat and looks completely confused...maybe frightened.

"Are...Are you threatening me?"

Eddie leans away from the car, standing up straight. He adjusts his glasses, then draws a revolver from the inside of his coat.

He does not have any qualms, evidently, about pulling back the hammer and pointing the gun at his friend's head.

"Darn skippy! Get in the car. We're going ~elsewhere~."

Geoffrey's fear is false right until the moment the hammer clicks back. Jesus. Eddie plays for keeps. He tenses and fights to swallow. He looks around, maybe really considering the idea of being rescued.

"W...Why are you doing this?"
He sticks to the victim script as he heads to the car, but refers more to 'why would you threaten me for real?

Eddie will keep the gun aimed at him until he's actually in the car. He doesn't look like he feels like he just crossed some kind of line. He's completely at ease.

"Fun and games, superintendent."

"Ah..."

He gulped down a lump in his throat and climbed into the car. Geoffrey knew better than to try to comfort himself with lies like 'the gun must be empty'. He knows Eddie goes all the way with his games. Surely he'll never hurt his friend, though... If worse comes to worst, he does have a cane with a tazer in it.

Eddie knows he has a cane with a tazer in it. That's why he gave it to him. If Geoffrey actually let him get away with shooting him... well, then Geoffrey probably shouldn't have been his friend in the first place. He trusts you to not be stupid enough to get to that point, Geoffrey.

He smirks, and keeps the gun apparent as he hops into the car, himself. Then he hits the safety locks.

"Good man," he says, cheerfully, as the car's starting. "I'm betting you could use a little enforced downtime. How's your day going? Nice coat." And, they're off!

Locked in and on the move. No turning back now. He won't let Eddie hurt him, no, but Geoffrey agreed to play along with this game. He wants to. He shouldn't throw in the towel just because it's real.

Geoffrey relaxes a bit when they get moving.
"Mmm. Today was alright. A lot of visitor passes for cops, a lot of paperwork. This is my ~very~ favorite coat. I'm glad you like it!"
He snuggles down into it. He's still nervous, but maybe if it's just he and Eddie like any other chat... That'd be ok.

The gun goes away, when they get moving, too. That might help him relax a little more, yeah?

Eddie drives carefully. First of all, getting pulled over, no matter what the odds, would be pretty ridiculous, at this point. Second of all, driving should be done carefully. That's why there's all these rules for it. It's a really boring game with deadly consequences for failure! Which... still doesn't make it any less boring. Which is why he flips on the radio, and turns it down low enough that they can keep talking.

"We'll make sure it doesn't get ruined, so don't worry about that. Though, wearing a fur coat like that around, it's any wonder you're not covered with red paint already." He smirks. "Always brave, hm?"

"Thank you, you're so considerate!" He pets his coat lovingly and sighs. He's glad Eddie won't let it get messed up but he really shouldn't have warn it for this. It was just so nice and cold out tonight...

"I am always brave. I just don't see the point in not having nice things I want just because it makes someone else sad or something. If they ruin it, I'll see them arrested and beaten."
Geoffrey huffs. People are stupid. Fur is warm and fluffy and comfy. They're just jealous.

"You're welcome!" Of course he is! That's why he's created an alibi for the guy and everything, so he still gets to see the awesome giant death trap!

That makes him laugh. It's a remarkably good-natured laugh for going along with imagining PETA weirdos getting what for. See? Bad people do laugh at the plight of defenseless fur bearing mammals! "You work hard enough. You should have nice things. Oh, I want to show you what I got, but it's not at the warehouse."
