The Plan Continues to be Flawless

Nov 29, 2008 10:31

Black Friday morning, bright and early. Except, not very bright at all, yet. More like three A.M. Not enough time to sleep off all the turkey yet, right? Eddie's up and alert, anyway. Caffeine is a hell of a drug. Query better be awake enough, too. There is work to be done!

As far as the robbery of stores and smaller banks go, the real prize is in the armored cars. The stores and banks do their drops, and the very nice, scary guard people come and take it away to their nice, scary gun car. It's a great prize. That's why they're armed to the teeth.

And that's the challenge, because while it's so great a take, it's also one of the most dangerous things a pair of aspiring young criminals could attempt to rob. There are three main problems, namely, the driver, the guard in the back, and the guard riding shotgun with a... shotgun. These guys can be expected to be trained and to be well armed.

One of them happens to be in on this plan. Who knew that a fellow qualified to get a job for a security company would also be qualified to work for a costumed criminal? Once that was covered, it's a matter of replacing the other two in as cleanly as possible. The switch... well, it's best not to say too much about that. Tasers, kidnapping, locking two angry and immobilized individuals away for the morning? It's crude but necessary. They should be comfortable in their improvised cell, at any rate. Look, there's coffee, donuts and leftover turkey for both of them!

So, Eddie, Query, and This Guy Eddie Hired are driving around in an armored security van, picking up money. Fundraising. Of course, the deception can only be kept up for so long, but then they're in the perfect position to carry out their daring escape. After all, they're in an armored car! Eddie has the route and the escape plan worked out. If all goes well, they'll be out of here and gone by nine.
