At least Harley isn't putting up a fight over all of this. Walter isn't sure he could deal with that. He meets up with the young intern on her rounds, not sure how to even speak to her. He tilts his head at the soda and makes an indistinct sound of disapproval.

"I will try not to get in your way. Just here to assist you."
Yup. That's what he's here for.

Despite occasional appearances to the contrary, she's not stupid. "I'm sure you are." She may ask him to hold her soda while she takes notes while talking to patients. That's allowed, right?

Even though she can't give anyone any sort of trinket today, she's still so nice and so perky to the patients. Even to Walter. Oh, Harley. Why do you want to be liked so badly?

If he must, Walter will hold her soda. It seems a bit menial somehow. He doesn't necessarily think she's stupid. He sort of hopes she understands why he's really there. This doesn't change that he's been assigned to shadow her, and he intends to.

He keeps a silent mantra running of 'please don't talk to me please don't talk to me please don't talk to me' but it seems to be futile.

"erk... I make evening rounds. Bring the patients dinner and evening medication. Check on them after lights out."
This is surely what she's asking. It's a silly question, but he'll humor her. Maybe she'll stop. He...doesn't look at her while answering.
