A different game

No more riddles. No more games. From here on out, Rorschach and Nite Owl play by their rules and the Riddler will be coming along for the ride. It feels good. Feels good to be doing things the right way. Even feels good to be back in the shop where Walter Kovacs used to work. It's the last shop they go to only because Rorschach was hoping to avoid it. He slips in the back way and is standing behind the old woman who runs the shop for several minutes before she notices the muffled sound of his breath. She tells him everything about the customer who ordered the green custom suit. Everything she knows. It gives them a name to work with. A fake one, but a name. A name Edward had changed.

Finding the records of the name change doesn't take long. It gives them a real name. With a name, they can find out a lot about the man Edward used to be. They find family, old employers, schools, and --with a little searching-- hobbies. Seems he was good at running elaborate games people wanted to play before he started forcing the whole city into playing with him. They find the names of some of the people he used to play with. They find where he used to live and who he lived with. Last person to live in close quarters with him. It seems a good source for answers. It also seems that the world is a very small place full of coincidences.
