For the moment, House is secretary-less. So his office door is open, as much as he hates that. (He hates getting up to let people in even more.)

"McCoy! How was the Away Mission?"

"Not a moment of peace. I'm gonna take that to mean she missed me, though." He grins, fleetingly. Then gets down to business.

"I've got two things for you, then you can go back to thinking up nicknames for the orderlies."

"Want to offer any? I'm making a list." Actually, the list in front of him is a budgetary one, and he's deciding which department can take a pay-cut so the another can get more training. This is fun.

"Where I come from, we just call you something sweet, and call it a day. All in the tone." You know what I mean, right, honey?

"I need either Nigma or Crane moved to a new cell. Mr. Crow decided he'd take my place while I was on leave, doctoring Mr. Nigma."
