Being a good host

The Joker did not return to his hideout feeling at all well. He was tazed into seizures and unconsciousness by Batman (which he has decided he doesn't like at all) and taken away handcuffed in an armored transport which was the closest to an ambulance they'd trust him in. He was grateful to have been injured and unconscious. When he came to --with just a little acting and effort-- he was able to kill the officers in the back with him. There was no way to reach the driver. A dying man and a spray of blood from the grating separating them was distraction enough in heavy traffic to crash the vehicle. Not fun, but effective. The gamble that it might open the doors worked out as well.
He crossed the city in a stolen car and abandoned it with a burning rag leading to the gas tank as he walked the rest of the way to his hiding place.

He took time for himself. Time to rest a little and get his bearings again. Get his face on again. He's bruised up and battered and his limp is worse after the accident. He'll be alright soon. A few days at the most. This is so annoying.

It's the afternoon of the first when he returns to Harley's cell. He carries a small plastic bag with a grinning jack-o-lantern on it. He closes the door behind him and knocks on it after the fact.
"Ah...don't mind some company, do ya?"
There are burn marks on his shirt and vest.
