[22:37] * @HarveyDent still has to go to these things? Yeesh. And this one is a lot more crowded than usual. He's expecting bloodshed before the half hour mark.
[22:39] * DrDrake certainly doesn't want to be here, all right? But *someone* said something about cake...
[22:39] * SimonG folds his legs up under him upon sitting down, folding into a bony little bundle.
[22:39] * JohnDoe looks relatively placid, for well...him...and for a man who has pink mittens taped to his hands... Pink mittens with large holes chewed through them. He's just happy to be included.
[22:39] * Eddie gets to go to one of these, again! Today, he thinks this is a privilege, for whatever reason. Likely because he's been sick in his cell the past two days, but is doing well enough that he feels okay sitting up. As long as he knows where the trash can is. And if he can keep a blanket around? Maybe? Bathrobe?
[22:40] * DrGiles looks concerned by Simon's bony little bundle. Or maybe he's just trying not to grin at the mittens.
[22:40] * DrMcCoy eyes the holes in Johnny's mittens with displeasure. Those are getting replaced, as soon as this is over. Maybe yellow, this time...
[22:41] * SimonG is just glad today is not a tubing day.
[22:43] * DrMcCoy has very little idea what they're doing today, therapy-wise. Giles said he had an idea, and everyone was happy to leave it to him. However, he can start things off, still. "Good afternoon, everyone. How're you all keeping?"
[22:43] * Eddie has a green bathrobe, YAY! This is about the best day ever, okay.
[22:45] Giles does have an idea. He just wasn't expecting John Doe.... Which makes things interesting. Can he hold a marker in his mittens?
[22:45] * SimonG says 'Mmrgh."
[22:46] * DrDrake keeps an eye on things. But not Eddie.
[22:46] * JohnDoe smiles, tugging a little at the healing wound at the side of his mouth. "Just peachy, doc." He holds up his bemittened hands and bound wrists. "Got a..ah..an itch I haven't been able t'scratch for days, though."
[22:47] * @HarveyDent smiles. "I'm alright. How about you?"
[22:49] * Eddie is so not even bothered by Dr. Drake -or- the Joker right this minute.
[22:53] * Eddie is managing to express this in a calm and quiet fashion, possibly because moving sucks.
[22:54] * DrMcCoy smiles back. "I've certainly had worse days." He does have a couple stitches right above his eye, maybe a week old, but week old stitches, who cares? "Looks like we've got a full house today."
[22:54] * SimonG is here with Eddie in the moving sucks camp. "Too many. Are we going to split up?"
[22:55] * DrGiles has picked up a large bag of /something/ and is doing some mental math. "That is not the plan, currently."
[23:00] * JohnDoe has nothing but smiles for everyone. Particularly Eddie and Harvey...though there's a barely masked anger when he does look at Harv at all... and he is rather taken with his doctor's new scar. "Why split up? The..ah..more the merrier, as they say."
[23:01] * Eddie would rather Harvey get the masked anger, there, so... win?
[23:01] * @HarveyDent is just pretending you don't exist, clown. It's difficult, but the gains are worth it. "I'd hope we wouldn't need to. Two isn't much of a group."
[23:02] * DrGiles would call dibs on Harvey and Simon. It would be the best group ever.
[23:03] * SimonG is trying not to watch Harvey's face with hunger. It would be bad, just now.
[23:03] * DrMcCoy ... oh, that's not fair. Come on.
[23:04] * Eddie is the best patient, though?
[23:04] * Eddie sits quietly and waits.
[23:05] * DrDrake is just going to watch all of this with only a little bit of amusement, all right?
[23:06] * DrMcCoy looks to Giles. You have the floor, sir.
[23:06] "Two is a -fine- group. Remember the Gas Day?"
[23:07] <@HarveyDent> A deadpan look. "No."
[23:07] * SimonG sticks his tongue out, through the bars of his bite mask.
[23:08] Have a quick glare, Simon. And a little cloth doll! "Today we'll be doing a variation on something you've done before. First, you'll be designing these dolls as a represntation of your self."
[23:09] "oooh."
[23:09] * SimonG accepts the doll, startled. ".... Ooookay?"
[23:10] * @HarveyDent takes a doll, palming his coin to hold it in both hands. "Better than the valentines."
[23:10] * DrGiles will also get out three boxes of fabric markers. And look to Luke about how John's going to participate.
[23:11] "Arts and crafts again, okay."
[23:14] * DrMcCoy looks from Giles to Johnny. "You feel like playing along? -Without- making too much trouble?"
[23:14] * SimonG leans forward to look into the box of markers.
[23:15] "I'll be good.... I mean, how much trouble could I make with a doll and..ah...markers? Hmm?" He grins, as if he really wants to see if Luke can answer that.
[23:16] "You could make a marker crossbow, except it would just get ink everywhere."
[23:17] * DrMcCoy just gives him a look. Yeah. "Don't make me find out." He will not, of course, uncuff his hands. But he'll have a guard -- despite the poor guy's misgivings -- free his cuffed hands from whatever restraint system he's in, so they're mobile-but-cuffed.
[23:17] * SimonG snags his black, and scoots his chair back. "So, just draw self-portraits on these?"
[23:18] "I suppose the plastic casing of the marker would be the most dangerous, potentially. Are these the ones that smell good, again? He reaches for markers.
[23:19] * DrGiles will respond to Simon. "Yes. Make them look as much like you as you can. You can put them in something other then Arkham orange, though."
[23:20] * DrGiles will uncuff everyone who is not John Doe. Because he's Lukes to interact with. Sorry.
[23:20] * @HarveyDent is still considering his doll, his little blank doll, passing it off to one hand as the guard uncuffs him. "I think you're going to have a run on red and black."
[23:21] * @HarveyDent or as Giles does, apparently.
[23:21] * JohnDoe is glad to have his wrists untethered from his body, at least. Still...it seems a bit limiting without his fingers free. He clears his throat and holds out his mitten encased hands for the guard and for Luke. "Ah...just for the session? Hmm?"
[23:21] * DrDrake doubts that's a good idea.
[23:21] * DrMcCoy is delighted. No. Really. "You can still hold a marker with 'em on."
[23:22] * Eddie glances over, skeptically.
[23:22] * DrGiles has more boxes. He expected to run out of red, black and green.
[23:22] * Eddie has the green marker! Oh boy!
[23:23] * SimonG starts drawing on his doll, beginning with big black eyes.
[23:25] * @HarveyDent still hasn't started, which is a marked change from his usual behavior during these art sessions. He bites his lower lip, looking at the doll. Hm. Hmm.
[23:26] * Eddie leaves off his hat, because it would look weird on this kind of thing. Glasses, suit, hair... easy enough.
[23:27] * SimonG draws another eye... and another and another, until he has eight, and then goes back over them all.
[23:30] * JohnDoe huffs a little about having to do this with the gloves on. Still, there are black, red, green and purple still available...thanks to excellent planning on Giles' part... so he gets started. Face first: big black circles and wide jagged grin.
[23:30] "So... this is what we'd look like if our clothing were painted on, basically."
[23:31] * @HarveyDent eventually sighs, and comes to a reluctant decision, and gets a purple marker. -Fine.- He splits up the doll's face, like always. First with purple, then adding little red and white bits. "Sports Illustrated does an issue like that."
[23:32] "Haha... ohman. See, I don't think Gotham or anybody really wants that."
[23:32] "I've seen it as 'Performance art.'" He does the finger quotes. "That charges $100 an hour."
[23:33] "And what I do isn't? Should I be charging $100 an hour and wearing body paint? Pffff..."
[23:34] * SimonG pauses, looking over at Eddie with a raised eyebrow.
[23:34] * DrGiles is just ignoring all of this conversation.... Well, he's not. He's noting that it's going on, but not thinking to hard about it.
[23:34] * DrMcCoy clears his throat. That's what it is. Really.
[23:35] * Eddie giggles.
[23:36] * @HarveyDent tries to hide a smile, as he grabs a black. "That's one way to get Batman's attention."
[23:36] "I believe it's in everyone's best interest to stick to performance art without invisible quote marks."
[23:37] * JohnDoe is way too into this project to notice any of this...yup.... Not paying any attention. Ignore the way he's chewing at his lip. He's not noticing any of this. ... Purple now. Is there a light blue?
[23:37] * SimonG draws a wide grin, and sharp teeth.
[23:38] * @HarveyDent draws on a little suit. Both sides black. And a little blue tie.
[23:38] * Eddie draws a perfectly normal nice smile on his doll, here. It is awesome like he is.
[23:40] "Though I'm sure plenty of people would put what I do in fingerquotes, too."
[23:41] * DrDrake has certainly noticed that both sides of Harvey's suit are black. Oh yes
[23:41] * DrGiles watches the dolls' progress, trying to guess how much longer they will need.
[23:41] "what you used to do..." he mumbles low, quiet, and seemingly to his doll.
[23:41] * SimonG starts coloring in the whole doll in sketchy black. The pen won't last long like this.
[23:43] <@HarveyDent> "Doesn't make the bombs any less real." He's done, really, as soon as he has the suit and tie done. ...and almost as an afterthought, a little dot of silver on one doll-hand.
[23:43] "... Eddie, can I have your black?
[23:45] * Eddie hands the requested marker over to Simon. Then he does finger quotes, says, "Bombs", and laughs.
[23:45] "Thanks."
[23:46] <@HarveyDent> "You can use mine, if you need more after that."
[23:46] * SimonG goes over the eyes again, then keeps drawing fur.
[23:46] "You have about five more minutes...."
[23:47] * DrMcCoy watches the group dynamics with quiet interest, those three relatively social with each other, and Johnny off to the side but still very obviously -- yes, he -sees- you -- listening in, aware of what they're doing.
[23:47] * JohnDoe is saving his black, thanks. He might need to make another doll later....and...it will need black. Lots of it. Now, though, he's almost done with this one. He remembers to not draw in wavy hair on one side, but short stubble and a scar. Thanks Eddie.
[23:48] * Eddie puts away the markers he was using, and looks over at McCoy. Done!
[23:49] *There's a knock*
[23:49] "Anyone need more time?" Hm, a knock. Who wants to get that?
[23:49] "Me!"
[23:50] * JohnDoe finishes filling in some spots...wishes he could stitch real thread into the wounds... but is done with what he can do here. He sits the doll in his lap to also stare at everyone.
[23:50] * DrGiles blinks at the knock. He'll just go see what this is all about.
[23:52] *There's an orderly outside the door, with a box. "Superintendant House said you'd need this for session today."*
[23:53] * DrGiles will now blink at the box. "Oh. Alright." He was not warned about the box.
[23:53] * DrDrake smirks, slightly.
[23:53] * DrMcCoy looks over at Dr. Drake. What do you know about this, woman?
[23:53] "What is it?"
[23:54] *The box says 'For everyone in the room, and the orderly leaves*
[23:54] * DrDrake looks innocent...ish. "No clue. Find out?"
[23:54] * SimonG cranes, trying to see.
[23:54] * Eddie watches, too. What is in the box? Must know!
[23:55] * @HarveyDent is curious, too. Unexpected box? Is it a bomb? Or a 'bomb'?
[23:55] If it's fear gas, Giles is quitting. And going on a mission to fine Crane and hit him. He sets the box down on the table and opens it. And blinks again.
[23:56] * DrMcCoy looks. And regrets looking. "Rupert. Is that what it looks like?"
[23:56] * Eddie squirms. Whaaaat?
[23:57] * DrGiles is not geeky enough to know if it is what it looks like, sorry. He just pulls it out to show it off to the rest of the group. "It's a cake, of some kind."
[23:58] * DrDrake smirks completely. "It's a cake all right."
[23:58] * Eddie is sorry, Luke, he's gonna break down into laughter now, because he is that much of a geek.
[23:58] * SimonG tries not to look interested.
[23:58] * DrMcCoy looks pained. "I'm going to beat that gimpy son of a bitch with his own cane."
[23:58] * JohnDoe snorts and laughs as the cake is pulled out. He tries to keep restrained, but...it's not easy, here.
[23:59] * JohnDoe would also pay a great deal to see Luke beat House to death.
[23:59] * SimonG snorts.
[23:59] * DrGiles is missing a joke. He knows it, but he's fine with it. "He sent plates and spoons as well." Break for cake?
[00:00] * @HarveyDent sees what the cake is, but doesn't make the connection. But hey, cake. "We get cake?"
[00:01] * Eddie 's laughter trails off to a queasy smile. He does not suppose he can handle cake right now, even geek cake.
[00:01] It's ok, Harvey. The clown's mostly amused by his doctor making idle threats, not by the cake itself.
[00:03] "Seems like it." He looks to Eddie. "You think you can handle a slice, or you want some put away for later?"
[00:03] * SimonG scoots back farther, snagging Harvey's black, and draws more.
[00:03] "Aw, you'd save some for later for me? That'd be so cool. I shouldn't eat it right now."
[00:05] ".... It's from a store, right? House didn't -bake- that, right?"
[00:06] "Seems fair." He nods. "If you aren't feeling up to it, we aren't going to risk it." He checks the box. "No idea. He doesn't seem ike the baking type."
[00:06] "Ugh, yeahno, he shouldn't bake."
[00:06] "Would it be a problem if he had?"
[00:07] * Eddie 's expression is a bit queasier.
[00:08] "I suspect it's a matter of health codes." He starts looking for a trash can....
[00:08] * JohnDoe doesn't care who made it, but will be watching one of you eat some first. Meanwhile, he'll unintelligibly mumble about how none of this matters, how dead men don't eat cake, and about wanting a Batman doll to go with their set... "Are we..ah..going to eat cake or analyze it?"
[00:08] Store-bought, you cowards.
[00:09] * @HarveyDent looks up. "...I guess they got those microphones installed."
[00:09] ".... Hiii, Dr. God."
[00:09] "Well, there you go. The word of God himself."
[00:10] * DrGiles will let them eat cake. He'll start cutting out slices for everyone. Including Simon. "I assume that Dr. McCoy will take the left overs...." So that's where Eddie's will be.
[00:10] * Eddie grumps, though. He is not a coward for not wanting egg shells and hairs and stuff in his cake!
[00:10] "Seems so." He won't protest, even with it being a Star Trek cake. Mmm. Cake.
[00:11] * SimonG ignores his ostentatiously, drawing lines down the doll-limbs to to show that there are really eight limbs here, not four.
[00:12] * @HarveyDent places doll and coin on the table. "I'm going to need some extra napkins."
[00:13] Harvey will get napkins. And Simon will get a pleading look.
[00:13] "May I have some juice?"
[00:13] * SimonG is not acknowledging the existance of cake.
[00:14] * @HarveyDent is going to eat him some blue cake. Keeping a napkin over his face-hole.
[00:14] The cake is not a lie, Simon. It wants you to eat it.
[00:14] "Anyone else want something to wash this down?"
[00:16] <@HarveyDent> "Milk? Or water."
[00:17] * @HarveyDent did not have his mouth full for that. Though his cheekhole is still a bit blue.
[00:18] * SimonG hunches, going over every line again.
[00:21] "Anyone else? Last call."
[00:21] "Milk... And hands to eat with." At this rate, there will be more cake on the floor and stuck in the mittens' holes than gets in the clown.
[00:21] "Shucks, it's not going to keep for four more days, do you think?"
[00:23] "If you freeze it, it should."
[00:25] "Depends on how you keep it. You put a slice of cake in with a cut apple, it'll keep for a while longer than it usually would." He eyes Johnny critically. Comes to a decision. Approaches him, and holds out his hands. "They go right back on, first time I see your hands on your head."
[00:26] * SimonG is hungry. ._.
[00:26] * DrGiles thinks it should be someone elses head that Luke should be worried about...
[00:27] "... I've never heard that before. An apple?"
[00:27] * JohnDoe offers his hands up to Luke along with a slight smirk. "Of course."
[00:27] "I've heard that for...something, but not for cake."
[00:28] * Eddie makes another face.
[00:29] * DrMcCoy starts unwinding the duct tape, looking unimpressed by that smirk. He takes special care not to linger too long touching bare skin. "My maw-maw swore by it."
[00:29] * SimonG pushes his chair all the way back to a corner.
[00:30] * DrGiles watches Simon. "Do you want me to save it, have it sent to your cell later?"
[00:31] "You can have mine."
[00:32] * Eddie glances over at Simon, slightly annoyed. Eat the cake because he can't, damn it.
[00:32] Which translates into Giles as 'Send it to my cell with dinner when I will pretend to not eat anything'.
[00:33] * SimonG is not eating that cake. He's getting tube-fed every other day, he doesn't have to eat anything.
[00:34] * Eddie sighs.
[00:37] * DrMcCoy will have to wait 'til he gets all this tape off, before he radios for drinks. Unless someone else would like to.
[00:37] * Eddie pulls the robe closer around his shoulders.
[00:38] * DrGiles can do that, as he appears to be done eye pleading with Simon for now.
[00:40] "Shouldn't have been so thorough, doctor. " His hands flinch now and again as the tape's pulled away and the close contact is prolonged.
[00:43] "Shouldn't have picked." Despite the sniping, he looks very nearly apologetic, when the clown flinches. "And tell 'em to bring my bag up here, too," he tells Giles.
[00:49] * SimonG holds up his doll. "Done."
[00:51] * DrGiles will add McCoy's bag to the radio order, before looking at Simon. "Do you want anything? Water?"
[00:51] "No."
[00:52] "Milk?"
[00:52] B| "No."
[00:54] "Chocolate milk?"
[00:54] "/No./"
[00:55] * @HarveyDent licks his spoon, so not to be mouthy and ask for coffee.
[01:04] * SimonG waggles his doll, and picks at a loose thread.
[01:06] As most everyone seems to have finished what they plan to eat at the moment, Giles will pass out a second doll. "On this one, I'd like you to create who you would like to see the most right now." Giles has a list with guesses in his office.
[01:07] "Do we get to keep these?"
[01:08] * DrMcCoy has a few guesses of his own. Let's see how they line up.
[01:08] "I don't see a problem with it...." But that's just with Simon. The other doctors get to decide what their patients get to keep.
[01:08] "Any wires in those things?"
[01:09] * SimonG sets this one by his feet and takes the next one, staring at it.
[01:09] "No, just cotton and cloth."
[01:09] "Can I have three more black markers?"
[00:05] * Eddie considers this. Who does he want to see -the most-?
[00:07] * DrDrake can only imagine
[00:07] * @HarveyDent will throw a coin at the first person to say -anything- about him choices in this. Anything. "Can someone pass me the brown?"
[00:08] "Only one person?"
[00:09] * DrMcCoy could say so many things, but he doesn't. Instead, he occupies himself with getting Johnny's mittens off, and tossing them in the wastebasket, and tying up that bag. Lovely. Eat your cake, boy.
[00:09] "Only one, yes."
[00:09] * JohnDoe eyes Simon's collection of black markers. Selfish little.... He'll work with what he has for now, though. Cowl first...with angry white eyes. ... Big red smile to match his own.
[00:10] He could have more markers, if he asks. Giles has more.
[00:10] * Simon needs all these markers. It uses them up so fast, drawing on cloth. Scribble-scribble-black-fur.
[00:13] * Eddie draws two dots for eyes, and a simple line mouth, and leaves the face at that.
[00:15] * @HarveyDent needs an orange... and a blue.... and a yellow. These are going to be some hideous clothes. Sorry, doll-Judah.
[00:16] * JohnDoe will be using some yellow and some gray and blue so the armor detail will show up. He chews at his lip as he scribbles, getting as much color on his hands as on the doll.
[00:16] * DrDrake suspects that they are not as hideous as real Judah's clothes
[00:16] * Simon draws an exact replica of the doll he already made, half-hiding it from the rest.
[00:17] * Eddie draws a very generic outfit on the doll.
[00:17] * DrMcCoy can draw a tiny unicorn on the front of the shirt?
[00:17] * DrMcCoy cannot.
[00:18] * @HarveyDent however, can.
[00:18] * Eddie sets the doll down.
[00:18] * DrMcCoy watches Eddie making his second doll. "And who's that?"
[00:19] "I've got to figure that out."
[00:19] "Who's that kid who visited you?"
[00:19] * DrMcCoy nods.
[00:20] "A kid who visited me."
[00:21] * @HarveyDent smirks, as he sets the doll beside the other one. Yeah, that's the safe route. Go, Eddie.
[00:23] * DrGiles seens what you're doing there, Simon. He's going to let you think you can keep it hidden for now.
[00:24] * DrMcCoy sidles over to peer at Johnny's doll, now. That's a lot of detail. And... "A little more happy than usual."
[00:25] * Eddie frowns.
[00:25] * JohnDoe thinks maybe he's being too predictable, but he doesn't really want to see anyone. No one else. Anyone else would just be a means of getting to Batman. "He could use the ..ah..cheering up."
[00:26] * Eddie rolls his eyes.
[00:29] "Mmm-hmm.-" It's not really a smirk. But it's close. "Do I wanna guess how?"
[00:31] "...When he loses it, this whole town is going down with him." He smiles down at the doll. It may not seem like an answer to Luke's question, but in a way it is. There's also no 'if' to it. Just 'when'.
[00:33] * @HarveyDent makes a 'well, he's right' sort of face, in Dr. Drake's general direction, and finishes off his cake. Mmm.
[00:33] ".... pfff."
[00:33] * Simon puts both his dolls under his chairs.
[00:33] *chair
[00:33] * DrDrake has no comment on that, Harvey.
[00:34] "No chance of him squeaking by?" Luke thinks this is interesting, shh.
[00:35] * Eddie thinks this is stupid.
[00:36] * DrGiles appears to think it's interesting. And while it is, Luke can handle that. Giles is really paying attention to how everyone else is behaving.
[00:37] * @HarveyDent is trying to sit and be patient, now that he's done with the dolls and the cake. And not fiddle with his coin. Or even hold it. It's still sitting on the table.
[00:39] * JohnDoe raises a brow at his doctor, as if the question were completely idiotic. "You're the doctor. How do you think a grown man in a bat costume trying to single handedly salvage the souls of ah..an entire city with his fists is going to hold up."
[00:40] "Better than you, obviously."
[00:41] * DrMcCoy looks calmly back. It's not -him- Luke is interested in. At the moment. It's Johnny's -opinion- of him. "Eddie." A warning tone. "I'm not -his- doctor, so I couldn't rightly say."
[00:47] * JohnDoe stares coldly at Eddie for a moment, then sighs and goes back to talking to Luke. The best revenge, after all, is denying him attention. "You're avoiding the issue, doc. It doesn't matter, though... We'll all get to see for sure ...ah... in time." He sits the bat-doll next to his.
[00:48] * DrGiles scans the dolls (even the ones under Simon's chair). "Is every one finished? If so, we can move on to the next portion of the excercise..."
[00:49] * DrDrake looks slight surprised that there's more to it.
[00:49] * DrGiles had them make dolls. He has a point eventually.
[00:50] * Eddie is scowling and highly annoyed. Will he stay quiet?
[00:50] <@HarveyDent> "What's that?"
[00:52] Harvey asks, so Harvey gets to go first! "I'd like you to have your-you doll and your other doll have a conversation." Yes, it's weird. You got cake, right?
[00:52] * Eddie won't! "You know very little about him, and if you're so certain -him- losing it would destroy Gotham, -you- losing it sure hasn't, and if you're any kind of worthy opponent... well..."
[00:52] * Simon raises his hand quickly.
[00:52] * DrDrake hmms. "That should be...beneficial." Sure. She believes that.
[00:52] * @HarveyDent raises his eyebrow. Seriously. "What about?"
[00:53] One moment Simon. "You felt they were the person you wanted to see most, so have them talk about what you'd want to talk to that person about."
[00:54] * @HarveyDent frowns. Here? In public?
[01:00] * DrGiles will give them the option to write the conversation, but not just yet. Partially because he's not recognized the 'personal' nature of some of the conversations that might end up taking place.
[01:03] * JohnDoe lowers his eyes, still ignoring Eddie. Is everyone seeing this? Seeing how good he's doing? Ignore the fact he's drawn blood with his teeth on the inside of his lip or that he's trying to dig holes in his palms with his nails. He's doing well.
[01:03] * Simon raises his hand higher.
[01:04] "Yes Simon?"
[01:04] * DrDrake sees these reactions, and makes a note.
[01:04] "Mine's not a specific person. And I don't think Eddie's is either."
[01:05] * DrMcCoy does, in fact, see Johnny's reaction. And frowns a little, looking over at Eddie. If he pokes at him again, he -will- step in.
[01:06] "You still want to see them, even if it's not specofoc. Play out the conversation you /want/ to have. An ideal one. Or, explain why it is you want to see them."
[01:07] "Arguably, he's down to no marbles already, considering he saved your life." WIS check fail.
[01:07] "Mine wouldn't speak English."
[01:07] "-Mister Nigma.-" Very sharply. "If you can't be civil, you can be removed from the session."
[01:08] "What would yours speak?"
[01:08] Watch Giles ignore all that and focus on Simon.
[01:09] * JohnDoe scowls, keeping his position..not looking over... considering all the ways for Eddie to die. ...Then it pays off. Eddie's in trouble with someone he respects. A smug grin spreads on the clown's face and all is well again.
[01:09] * Simon looks down, kicking one of his dolls more firmly under his seat. "I don't know.
[01:10] * @HarveyDent is so used to this bickering that he doesn't even really pay attention, just fidgeting with the dolls. "I'm not sure I can do this.. With -- everyone listening in."
[01:11] "How would you try to communicate, if you don't share a language?" Giles looks to Dr. Drake in regards to Harvey. Has he missed something again?
[01:12] "Perhaps they could write down their conversations. For personal reasons?"
[01:13] * Simon presses his lips together. "I'll learn."
[01:13] * Eddie cringes, gaze snapping over to Luke, possibly mystified as to why he's the one in the wrong, here.
[01:15] "Writing would be fine, yes."
[01:16] * DrMcCoy is not impressed. But he won't discuss it with the gentleman in question able to listen in... He flips through his notepad for a clean piece of paper. And writes something down on it.
[01:17] * @HarveyDent looks.... a little bit relieved, though not entirely satisfied. "Alright."
[01:18] * Eddie slumps. No, no, don't -do that-.
[01:19] Paper might be usefull. And writting utensils. Giles should have a guard go get something like that. As he's only got the one pen, and he's learned not to give pens to patients
[01:19] * DrMcCoy finishes whatever it is, and folds the paper. And hands it to Eddie.
[01:20] * JohnDoe sits both dolls in his lap, looking at them with a great deal of concentration. What should they talk about in front of ~these people~? Not the fact that, when the bat kills him, he'll have won. Not that. He doesn't want to play anymore, all of a sudden.
[01:20] * Eddie sullenly takes the note.
[01:21] [It reads "And what makes you think provoking him is a good idea? Esp. in group?"]
[01:25] * Eddie writes on the page in marker, carefully, because the ink'll bleed and mess up the letters.
[01:27] * Eddie hands that back.
[01:28] * DrMcCoy takes the paper back, and unfolds it, and reads.
[01:29] * Simon doesn't want to do this.
[01:31] [It reads "want him to get kicked out. talking about personal stuff around him is stupider than provoking him."]
[01:33] Everyone can get paper, and as the markers seem to write decently, they can use those. Have fun!
[01:34] * Simon promptly begins to color his entire paper in, in black.
[01:35] * DrMcCoy would usually shake his head and leave it at that, but Eddie... needs a little more explanation. Writing! ["Maybe. But it makes -you- look bad. We can talk about anything personal later."]
[01:36] * Eddie folds the paper up several times and hands it back, then tucks his hands into the sleeves of his robe.
[01:37] * DrMcCoy takes it back, and slips it in a pocket, with a nod.
[01:37] * @HarveyDent has to think about this for a while. And then, very slowly, starts writing. It seems to be just a very typical small talk conversation.
[01:37] Giles is just going to sigh at Simon's coloring. How's everyone else doing?
[01:41] * Eddie isn't writing anything, now.
[01:44] * JohnDoe starts writing. His handwriting varies from very large to very small letters, all scribbled and difficult to follow. If one puts in the effort, he is discussing Eddie's imminent demise from disease with Batman, then they both have a good laugh over the matter. He's clearly taking this very seriously.
[01:47] * DrDrake is certainly curious as to what he's writing. Are any of them game enough to look?
[01:48] * DrMcCoy may brave it, in a moment, if no one else does. (Anybody? Anybody?) Right now, he's earned a crazy-break, dammit, and a little cake.
[01:49] * Simon has black ink all over his hands.
[01:49] * DrGiles is watching Simon's crazy, okay? And Harvey's, and Eddie's. He's multi-crazy-tasking.
[01:50] * DrDrake supposes that she will look, then. And frown, once she can actually decipher it.
[01:52] * Simon has a black piece of paper, now he's done.
[01:52] * @HarveyDent 's crazy is really very not. Though the small talk is pretty blatant issue-avoiding, honestly.
[01:54] * Eddie leans back in his chair and shuts his eyes.
[01:58] * DrMcCoy finishes up a bit more cake. And... okay, back to work. "Eddie? Would you like to leave the session early?" Not as a punishment, this time.
[02:01] "No, thank you." Definitely not after it was established as a punishment.
[02:02] * DrMcCoy nods.
[02:03] "Actually, I think we're done for the day. It might be best to go over the conversations in private sessions any way...."
[02:08] * JohnDoe picks up his dolls and shrugs. He was hoping they'd discuss it here. "So..we...get to keep these, right?" Simon does, apparently, so he should too. Only fair.
[02:08] "That would be a fine idea." Especially with Johnny in here.
[02:09] <@HarveyDent> "Please." A grimace. The last think he needs is more joking... The dolls, he couldn't care less about.
[02:09] "I think that's a good idea." Given what Johnny-or-Bill there is writing and what have you.
[02:09] * Simon picks up his two dolls, looking at them soberly.
[02:10] * Eddie nods slightly.
[02:17] * DrMcCoy looks to Giles. People keep their dolls, or no?
[02:18] "You can take the dolls with you, if you'd like..." Otherwise Giles is keeping them. May be for another session.
[02:19] * @HarveyDent gives a polite smile. "I'll pass, thanks."
[02:20] * Simon nods, though a bit sheepishly. "I'll keep mine..."
[02:21] * JohnDoe will be keeping his and smiles, scooping them up behind the wrist restraints. It will give him something to do other than pick at his stitches, at least.
[02:22] * DrMcCoy will pack up his cake, then, what's left of it. Guards, time to take care of things?
[02:24] * DrMcCoy will, -once Johnny is restrained again- and not a second before, say to the guards, "And if you wouldn't mind bringing Mr. Doe down to the infirmary before he goes back to his cell, I need to put some new gloves on him."
[02:25] * Simon goes back peacefully with his guard. But if he gets teased about the dolls, he'll kick him.
[02:25] If Simon gets teased about the dolls, Giles is getting someone written up.
[02:26] * JohnDoe pouts at Dr. McCoy. "I don't think that's necessary."
[02:27] "If he says it is, it is."
[02:28] * DrMcCoy is unmoved, sorry. "Once woken up at four am to deal with a re-opened surgical incision, twice shy."
[02:30] * @HarveyDent smirks a little at the Joker's predicament, as he's gathered up to go. Very peacefully, as always. Grabbing his coin off the table as he leaves.
[02:32] * JohnDoe huffs, but doesn't fight. He gets to keep the dolls. No sense having that taken away, too. He'll suffer another set of gloves.
[02:33] * DrMcCoy will have to figure out.... some way... of rewarding him for good behavior. That's going to be an interesting puzzle.
[02:42] * DrDrake thinks that'll be...amazing. Maybe they can give that puzzle to Eddie.
[02:43] * DrMcCoy thinks Eddie's answer would involve another gun. So... no.
[02:45] * DrGiles will gather up the left dolls and hand each doctor their patients 'conversations'. He give's Simon's an interesting look.
[22:39] * DrDrake certainly doesn't want to be here, all right? But *someone* said something about cake...
[22:39] * SimonG folds his legs up under him upon sitting down, folding into a bony little bundle.
[22:39] * JohnDoe looks relatively placid, for well...him...and for a man who has pink mittens taped to his hands... Pink mittens with large holes chewed through them. He's just happy to be included.
[22:39] * Eddie gets to go to one of these, again! Today, he thinks this is a privilege, for whatever reason. Likely because he's been sick in his cell the past two days, but is doing well enough that he feels okay sitting up. As long as he knows where the trash can is. And if he can keep a blanket around? Maybe? Bathrobe?
[22:40] * DrGiles looks concerned by Simon's bony little bundle. Or maybe he's just trying not to grin at the mittens.
[22:40] * DrMcCoy eyes the holes in Johnny's mittens with displeasure. Those are getting replaced, as soon as this is over. Maybe yellow, this time...
[22:41] * SimonG is just glad today is not a tubing day.
[22:43] * DrMcCoy has very little idea what they're doing today, therapy-wise. Giles said he had an idea, and everyone was happy to leave it to him. However, he can start things off, still. "Good afternoon, everyone. How're you all keeping?"
[22:43] * Eddie has a green bathrobe, YAY! This is about the best day ever, okay.
[22:45] Giles does have an idea. He just wasn't expecting John Doe.... Which makes things interesting. Can he hold a marker in his mittens?
[22:45] * SimonG says 'Mmrgh."
[22:46] * DrDrake keeps an eye on things. But not Eddie.
[22:46] * JohnDoe smiles, tugging a little at the healing wound at the side of his mouth. "Just peachy, doc." He holds up his bemittened hands and bound wrists. "Got a..ah..an itch I haven't been able t'scratch for days, though."
[22:47] * @HarveyDent smiles. "I'm alright. How about you?"
[22:49] * Eddie is so not even bothered by Dr. Drake -or- the Joker right this minute.
[22:53] * Eddie is managing to express this in a calm and quiet fashion, possibly because moving sucks.
[22:54] * DrMcCoy smiles back. "I've certainly had worse days." He does have a couple stitches right above his eye, maybe a week old, but week old stitches, who cares? "Looks like we've got a full house today."
[22:54] * SimonG is here with Eddie in the moving sucks camp. "Too many. Are we going to split up?"
[22:55] * DrGiles has picked up a large bag of /something/ and is doing some mental math. "That is not the plan, currently."
[23:00] * JohnDoe has nothing but smiles for everyone. Particularly Eddie and Harvey...though there's a barely masked anger when he does look at Harv at all... and he is rather taken with his doctor's new scar. "Why split up? The..ah..more the merrier, as they say."
[23:01] * Eddie would rather Harvey get the masked anger, there, so... win?
[23:01] * @HarveyDent is just pretending you don't exist, clown. It's difficult, but the gains are worth it. "I'd hope we wouldn't need to. Two isn't much of a group."

[23:03] * SimonG is trying not to watch Harvey's face with hunger. It would be bad, just now.

[23:07] * SimonG sticks his tongue out, through the bars of his bite mask.
[23:08] Have a quick glare, Simon. And a little cloth doll! "Today we'll be doing a variation on something you've done before. First, you'll be designing these dolls as a represntation of your self."

[23:09] * SimonG accepts the doll, startled. ".... Ooookay?"
[23:10] * @HarveyDent takes a doll, palming his coin to hold it in both hands. "Better than the valentines."
[23:10] * DrGiles will also get out three boxes of fabric markers. And look to Luke about how John's going to participate.
[23:11] "Arts and crafts again, okay."
[23:14] * DrMcCoy looks from Giles to Johnny. "You feel like playing along? -Without- making too much trouble?"
[23:14] * SimonG leans forward to look into the box of markers.
[23:15] "I'll be good.... I mean, how much trouble could I make with a doll and..ah...markers? Hmm?" He grins, as if he really wants to see if Luke can answer that.
[23:16] "You could make a marker crossbow, except it would just get ink everywhere."
[23:17] * DrMcCoy just gives him a look. Yeah. "Don't make me find out." He will not, of course, uncuff his hands. But he'll have a guard -- despite the poor guy's misgivings -- free his cuffed hands from whatever restraint system he's in, so they're mobile-but-cuffed.
[23:17] * SimonG snags his black, and scoots his chair back. "So, just draw self-portraits on these?"
[23:18] "I suppose the plastic casing of the marker would be the most dangerous, potentially. Are these the ones that smell good, again? He reaches for markers.
[23:19] * DrGiles will respond to Simon. "Yes. Make them look as much like you as you can. You can put them in something other then Arkham orange, though."
[23:20] * DrGiles will uncuff everyone who is not John Doe. Because he's Lukes to interact with. Sorry.
[23:20] * @HarveyDent is still considering his doll, his little blank doll, passing it off to one hand as the guard uncuffs him. "I think you're going to have a run on red and black."
[23:21] * @HarveyDent or as Giles does, apparently.
[23:21] * JohnDoe is glad to have his wrists untethered from his body, at least. Still...it seems a bit limiting without his fingers free. He clears his throat and holds out his mitten encased hands for the guard and for Luke. "Ah...just for the session? Hmm?"
[23:21] * DrDrake doubts that's a good idea.
[23:21] * DrMcCoy is delighted. No. Really. "You can still hold a marker with 'em on."
[23:22] * Eddie glances over, skeptically.
[23:22] * DrGiles has more boxes. He expected to run out of red, black and green.
[23:22] * Eddie has the green marker! Oh boy!
[23:23] * SimonG starts drawing on his doll, beginning with big black eyes.
[23:25] * @HarveyDent still hasn't started, which is a marked change from his usual behavior during these art sessions. He bites his lower lip, looking at the doll. Hm. Hmm.
[23:26] * Eddie leaves off his hat, because it would look weird on this kind of thing. Glasses, suit, hair... easy enough.
[23:27] * SimonG draws another eye... and another and another, until he has eight, and then goes back over them all.
[23:30] * JohnDoe huffs a little about having to do this with the gloves on. Still, there are black, red, green and purple still available...thanks to excellent planning on Giles' part... so he gets started. Face first: big black circles and wide jagged grin.
[23:30] "So... this is what we'd look like if our clothing were painted on, basically."
[23:31] * @HarveyDent eventually sighs, and comes to a reluctant decision, and gets a purple marker. -Fine.- He splits up the doll's face, like always. First with purple, then adding little red and white bits. "Sports Illustrated does an issue like that."
[23:32] "Haha... ohman. See, I don't think Gotham or anybody really wants that."
[23:32] "I've seen it as 'Performance art.'" He does the finger quotes. "That charges $100 an hour."
[23:33] "And what I do isn't? Should I be charging $100 an hour and wearing body paint? Pffff..."
[23:34] * SimonG pauses, looking over at Eddie with a raised eyebrow.
[23:34] * DrGiles is just ignoring all of this conversation.... Well, he's not. He's noting that it's going on, but not thinking to hard about it.
[23:34] * DrMcCoy clears his throat. That's what it is. Really.
[23:35] * Eddie giggles.
[23:36] * @HarveyDent tries to hide a smile, as he grabs a black. "That's one way to get Batman's attention."
[23:36] "I believe it's in everyone's best interest to stick to performance art without invisible quote marks."
[23:37] * JohnDoe is way too into this project to notice any of this...yup.... Not paying any attention. Ignore the way he's chewing at his lip. He's not noticing any of this. ... Purple now. Is there a light blue?
[23:37] * SimonG draws a wide grin, and sharp teeth.
[23:38] * @HarveyDent draws on a little suit. Both sides black. And a little blue tie.
[23:38] * Eddie draws a perfectly normal nice smile on his doll, here. It is awesome like he is.
[23:40] "Though I'm sure plenty of people would put what I do in fingerquotes, too."
[23:41] * DrDrake has certainly noticed that both sides of Harvey's suit are black. Oh yes
[23:41] * DrGiles watches the dolls' progress, trying to guess how much longer they will need.
[23:41] "what you used to do..." he mumbles low, quiet, and seemingly to his doll.
[23:41] * SimonG starts coloring in the whole doll in sketchy black. The pen won't last long like this.
[23:43] <@HarveyDent> "Doesn't make the bombs any less real." He's done, really, as soon as he has the suit and tie done. ...and almost as an afterthought, a little dot of silver on one doll-hand.
[23:43] "... Eddie, can I have your black?
[23:45] * Eddie hands the requested marker over to Simon. Then he does finger quotes, says, "Bombs", and laughs.
[23:45] "Thanks."
[23:46] <@HarveyDent> "You can use mine, if you need more after that."
[23:46] * SimonG goes over the eyes again, then keeps drawing fur.
[23:46] "You have about five more minutes...."
[23:47] * DrMcCoy watches the group dynamics with quiet interest, those three relatively social with each other, and Johnny off to the side but still very obviously -- yes, he -sees- you -- listening in, aware of what they're doing.
[23:47] * JohnDoe is saving his black, thanks. He might need to make another doll later....and...it will need black. Lots of it. Now, though, he's almost done with this one. He remembers to not draw in wavy hair on one side, but short stubble and a scar. Thanks Eddie.
[23:48] * Eddie puts away the markers he was using, and looks over at McCoy. Done!
[23:49] *There's a knock*
[23:49] "Anyone need more time?" Hm, a knock. Who wants to get that?

[23:50] * JohnDoe finishes filling in some spots...wishes he could stitch real thread into the wounds... but is done with what he can do here. He sits the doll in his lap to also stare at everyone.
[23:50] * DrGiles blinks at the knock. He'll just go see what this is all about.
[23:52] *There's an orderly outside the door, with a box. "Superintendant House said you'd need this for session today."*
[23:53] * DrGiles will now blink at the box. "Oh. Alright." He was not warned about the box.
[23:53] * DrDrake smirks, slightly.
[23:53] * DrMcCoy looks over at Dr. Drake. What do you know about this, woman?
[23:53] "What is it?"
[23:54] *The box says 'For everyone in the room, and the orderly leaves*
[23:54] * DrDrake looks innocent...ish. "No clue. Find out?"
[23:54] * SimonG cranes, trying to see.
[23:54] * Eddie watches, too. What is in the box? Must know!
[23:55] * @HarveyDent is curious, too. Unexpected box? Is it a bomb? Or a 'bomb'?
[23:55] If it's fear gas, Giles is quitting. And going on a mission to fine Crane and hit him. He sets the box down on the table and opens it. And blinks again.
[23:56] * DrMcCoy looks. And regrets looking. "Rupert. Is that what it looks like?"
[23:56] * Eddie squirms. Whaaaat?
[23:57] * DrGiles is not geeky enough to know if it is what it looks like, sorry. He just pulls it out to show it off to the rest of the group. "It's a cake, of some kind."
[23:58] * DrDrake smirks completely. "It's a cake all right."
[23:58] * Eddie is sorry, Luke, he's gonna break down into laughter now, because he is that much of a geek.
[23:58] * SimonG tries not to look interested.
[23:58] * DrMcCoy looks pained. "I'm going to beat that gimpy son of a bitch with his own cane."
[23:58] * JohnDoe snorts and laughs as the cake is pulled out. He tries to keep restrained, but...it's not easy, here.
[23:59] * JohnDoe would also pay a great deal to see Luke beat House to death.
[23:59] * SimonG snorts.
[23:59] * DrGiles is missing a joke. He knows it, but he's fine with it. "He sent plates and spoons as well." Break for cake?
[00:00] * @HarveyDent sees what the cake is, but doesn't make the connection. But hey, cake. "We get cake?"
[00:01] * Eddie 's laughter trails off to a queasy smile. He does not suppose he can handle cake right now, even geek cake.
[00:01] It's ok, Harvey. The clown's mostly amused by his doctor making idle threats, not by the cake itself.
[00:03] "Seems like it." He looks to Eddie. "You think you can handle a slice, or you want some put away for later?"
[00:03] * SimonG scoots back farther, snagging Harvey's black, and draws more.
[00:03] "Aw, you'd save some for later for me? That'd be so cool. I shouldn't eat it right now."
[00:05] ".... It's from a store, right? House didn't -bake- that, right?"
[00:06] "Seems fair." He nods. "If you aren't feeling up to it, we aren't going to risk it." He checks the box. "No idea. He doesn't seem ike the baking type."
[00:06] "Ugh, yeahno, he shouldn't bake."
[00:06] "Would it be a problem if he had?"
[00:07] * Eddie 's expression is a bit queasier.
[00:08] "I suspect it's a matter of health codes." He starts looking for a trash can....
[00:08] * JohnDoe doesn't care who made it, but will be watching one of you eat some first. Meanwhile, he'll unintelligibly mumble about how none of this matters, how dead men don't eat cake, and about wanting a Batman doll to go with their set... "Are we..ah..going to eat cake or analyze it?"
[00:08] Store-bought, you cowards.
[00:09] * @HarveyDent looks up. "...I guess they got those microphones installed."
[00:09] ".... Hiii, Dr. God."
[00:09] "Well, there you go. The word of God himself."
[00:10] * DrGiles will let them eat cake. He'll start cutting out slices for everyone. Including Simon. "I assume that Dr. McCoy will take the left overs...." So that's where Eddie's will be.
[00:10] * Eddie grumps, though. He is not a coward for not wanting egg shells and hairs and stuff in his cake!
[00:10] "Seems so." He won't protest, even with it being a Star Trek cake. Mmm. Cake.
[00:11] * SimonG ignores his ostentatiously, drawing lines down the doll-limbs to to show that there are really eight limbs here, not four.
[00:12] * @HarveyDent places doll and coin on the table. "I'm going to need some extra napkins."
[00:13] Harvey will get napkins. And Simon will get a pleading look.
[00:13] "May I have some juice?"
[00:13] * SimonG is not acknowledging the existance of cake.
[00:14] * @HarveyDent is going to eat him some blue cake. Keeping a napkin over his face-hole.
[00:14] The cake is not a lie, Simon. It wants you to eat it.
[00:14] "Anyone else want something to wash this down?"
[00:16] <@HarveyDent> "Milk? Or water."
[00:17] * @HarveyDent did not have his mouth full for that. Though his cheekhole is still a bit blue.
[00:18] * SimonG hunches, going over every line again.
[00:21] "Anyone else? Last call."
[00:21] "Milk... And hands to eat with." At this rate, there will be more cake on the floor and stuck in the mittens' holes than gets in the clown.
[00:21] "Shucks, it's not going to keep for four more days, do you think?"
[00:23] "If you freeze it, it should."
[00:25] "Depends on how you keep it. You put a slice of cake in with a cut apple, it'll keep for a while longer than it usually would." He eyes Johnny critically. Comes to a decision. Approaches him, and holds out his hands. "They go right back on, first time I see your hands on your head."
[00:26] * SimonG is hungry. ._.
[00:26] * DrGiles thinks it should be someone elses head that Luke should be worried about...
[00:27] "... I've never heard that before. An apple?"
[00:27] * JohnDoe offers his hands up to Luke along with a slight smirk. "Of course."
[00:27] "I've heard that for...something, but not for cake."
[00:28] * Eddie makes another face.
[00:29] * DrMcCoy starts unwinding the duct tape, looking unimpressed by that smirk. He takes special care not to linger too long touching bare skin. "My maw-maw swore by it."
[00:29] * SimonG pushes his chair all the way back to a corner.
[00:30] * DrGiles watches Simon. "Do you want me to save it, have it sent to your cell later?"
[00:31] "You can have mine."
[00:32] * Eddie glances over at Simon, slightly annoyed. Eat the cake because he can't, damn it.
[00:32] Which translates into Giles as 'Send it to my cell with dinner when I will pretend to not eat anything'.
[00:33] * SimonG is not eating that cake. He's getting tube-fed every other day, he doesn't have to eat anything.
[00:34] * Eddie sighs.
[00:37] * DrMcCoy will have to wait 'til he gets all this tape off, before he radios for drinks. Unless someone else would like to.
[00:37] * Eddie pulls the robe closer around his shoulders.
[00:38] * DrGiles can do that, as he appears to be done eye pleading with Simon for now.
[00:40] "Shouldn't have been so thorough, doctor. " His hands flinch now and again as the tape's pulled away and the close contact is prolonged.
[00:43] "Shouldn't have picked." Despite the sniping, he looks very nearly apologetic, when the clown flinches. "And tell 'em to bring my bag up here, too," he tells Giles.
[00:49] * SimonG holds up his doll. "Done."
[00:51] * DrGiles will add McCoy's bag to the radio order, before looking at Simon. "Do you want anything? Water?"
[00:51] "No."
[00:52] "Milk?"

[00:54] "Chocolate milk?"

[00:55] * @HarveyDent licks his spoon, so not to be mouthy and ask for coffee.
[01:04] * SimonG waggles his doll, and picks at a loose thread.
[01:06] As most everyone seems to have finished what they plan to eat at the moment, Giles will pass out a second doll. "On this one, I'd like you to create who you would like to see the most right now." Giles has a list with guesses in his office.
[01:07] "Do we get to keep these?"
[01:08] * DrMcCoy has a few guesses of his own. Let's see how they line up.
[01:08] "I don't see a problem with it...." But that's just with Simon. The other doctors get to decide what their patients get to keep.
[01:08] "Any wires in those things?"
[01:09] * SimonG sets this one by his feet and takes the next one, staring at it.
[01:09] "No, just cotton and cloth."

[00:07] * @HarveyDent will throw a coin at the first person to say -anything- about him choices in this. Anything. "Can someone pass me the brown?"

[00:09] * DrMcCoy could say so many things, but he doesn't. Instead, he occupies himself with getting Johnny's mittens off, and tossing them in the wastebasket, and tying up that bag. Lovely. Eat your cake, boy.
[00:09] "Only one, yes."
[00:09] * JohnDoe eyes Simon's collection of black markers. Selfish little.... He'll work with what he has for now, though. Cowl first...with angry white eyes. ... Big red smile to match his own.
[00:10] He could have more markers, if he asks. Giles has more.
[00:10] * Simon needs all these markers. It uses them up so fast, drawing on cloth. Scribble-scribble-black-fur.
[00:13] * Eddie draws two dots for eyes, and a simple line mouth, and leaves the face at that.
[00:15] * @HarveyDent needs an orange... and a blue.... and a yellow. These are going to be some hideous clothes. Sorry, doll-Judah.
[00:16] * JohnDoe will be using some yellow and some gray and blue so the armor detail will show up. He chews at his lip as he scribbles, getting as much color on his hands as on the doll.
[00:16] * DrDrake suspects that they are not as hideous as real Judah's clothes
[00:16] * Simon draws an exact replica of the doll he already made, half-hiding it from the rest.
[00:17] * Eddie draws a very generic outfit on the doll.
[00:17] * DrMcCoy can draw a tiny unicorn on the front of the shirt?
[00:17] * DrMcCoy cannot.
[00:18] * @HarveyDent however, can.
[00:18] * Eddie sets the doll down.
[00:18] * DrMcCoy watches Eddie making his second doll. "And who's that?"
[00:19] "I've got to figure that out."
[00:19] "Who's that kid who visited you?"
[00:19] * DrMcCoy nods.
[00:20] "A kid who visited me."
[00:21] * @HarveyDent smirks, as he sets the doll beside the other one. Yeah, that's the safe route. Go, Eddie.
[00:23] * DrGiles seens what you're doing there, Simon. He's going to let you think you can keep it hidden for now.
[00:24] * DrMcCoy sidles over to peer at Johnny's doll, now. That's a lot of detail. And... "A little more happy than usual."
[00:25] * Eddie frowns.
[00:25] * JohnDoe thinks maybe he's being too predictable, but he doesn't really want to see anyone. No one else. Anyone else would just be a means of getting to Batman. "He could use the ..ah..cheering up."
[00:26] * Eddie rolls his eyes.
[00:29] "Mmm-hmm.-" It's not really a smirk. But it's close. "Do I wanna guess how?"
[00:31] "...When he loses it, this whole town is going down with him." He smiles down at the doll. It may not seem like an answer to Luke's question, but in a way it is. There's also no 'if' to it. Just 'when'.
[00:33] * @HarveyDent makes a 'well, he's right' sort of face, in Dr. Drake's general direction, and finishes off his cake. Mmm.
[00:33] ".... pfff."
[00:33] * Simon puts both his dolls under his chairs.
[00:33] *chair
[00:33] * DrDrake has no comment on that, Harvey.
[00:34] "No chance of him squeaking by?" Luke thinks this is interesting, shh.
[00:35] * Eddie thinks this is stupid.
[00:36] * DrGiles appears to think it's interesting. And while it is, Luke can handle that. Giles is really paying attention to how everyone else is behaving.
[00:37] * @HarveyDent is trying to sit and be patient, now that he's done with the dolls and the cake. And not fiddle with his coin. Or even hold it. It's still sitting on the table.
[00:39] * JohnDoe raises a brow at his doctor, as if the question were completely idiotic. "You're the doctor. How do you think a grown man in a bat costume trying to single handedly salvage the souls of ah..an entire city with his fists is going to hold up."
[00:40] "Better than you, obviously."
[00:41] * DrMcCoy looks calmly back. It's not -him- Luke is interested in. At the moment. It's Johnny's -opinion- of him. "Eddie." A warning tone. "I'm not -his- doctor, so I couldn't rightly say."
[00:47] * JohnDoe stares coldly at Eddie for a moment, then sighs and goes back to talking to Luke. The best revenge, after all, is denying him attention. "You're avoiding the issue, doc. It doesn't matter, though... We'll all get to see for sure ...ah... in time." He sits the bat-doll next to his.
[00:48] * DrGiles scans the dolls (even the ones under Simon's chair). "Is every one finished? If so, we can move on to the next portion of the excercise..."
[00:49] * DrDrake looks slight surprised that there's more to it.
[00:49] * DrGiles had them make dolls. He has a point eventually.
[00:50] * Eddie is scowling and highly annoyed. Will he stay quiet?
[00:50] <@HarveyDent> "What's that?"
[00:52] Harvey asks, so Harvey gets to go first! "I'd like you to have your-you doll and your other doll have a conversation." Yes, it's weird. You got cake, right?
[00:52] * Eddie won't! "You know very little about him, and if you're so certain -him- losing it would destroy Gotham, -you- losing it sure hasn't, and if you're any kind of worthy opponent... well..."
[00:52] * Simon raises his hand quickly.
[00:52] * DrDrake hmms. "That should be...beneficial." Sure. She believes that.
[00:52] * @HarveyDent raises his eyebrow. Seriously. "What about?"
[00:53] One moment Simon. "You felt they were the person you wanted to see most, so have them talk about what you'd want to talk to that person about."
[00:54] * @HarveyDent frowns. Here? In public?
[01:00] * DrGiles will give them the option to write the conversation, but not just yet. Partially because he's not recognized the 'personal' nature of some of the conversations that might end up taking place.
[01:03] * JohnDoe lowers his eyes, still ignoring Eddie. Is everyone seeing this? Seeing how good he's doing? Ignore the fact he's drawn blood with his teeth on the inside of his lip or that he's trying to dig holes in his palms with his nails. He's doing well.
[01:03] * Simon raises his hand higher.
[01:04] "Yes Simon?"
[01:04] * DrDrake sees these reactions, and makes a note.
[01:04] "Mine's not a specific person. And I don't think Eddie's is either."
[01:05] * DrMcCoy does, in fact, see Johnny's reaction. And frowns a little, looking over at Eddie. If he pokes at him again, he -will- step in.
[01:06] "You still want to see them, even if it's not specofoc. Play out the conversation you /want/ to have. An ideal one. Or, explain why it is you want to see them."
[01:07] "Arguably, he's down to no marbles already, considering he saved your life." WIS check fail.
[01:07] "Mine wouldn't speak English."
[01:07] "-Mister Nigma.-" Very sharply. "If you can't be civil, you can be removed from the session."
[01:08] "What would yours speak?"
[01:08] Watch Giles ignore all that and focus on Simon.
[01:09] * JohnDoe scowls, keeping his position..not looking over... considering all the ways for Eddie to die. ...Then it pays off. Eddie's in trouble with someone he respects. A smug grin spreads on the clown's face and all is well again.
[01:09] * Simon looks down, kicking one of his dolls more firmly under his seat. "I don't know.
[01:10] * @HarveyDent is so used to this bickering that he doesn't even really pay attention, just fidgeting with the dolls. "I'm not sure I can do this.. With -- everyone listening in."
[01:11] "How would you try to communicate, if you don't share a language?" Giles looks to Dr. Drake in regards to Harvey. Has he missed something again?
[01:12] "Perhaps they could write down their conversations. For personal reasons?"
[01:13] * Simon presses his lips together. "I'll learn."
[01:13] * Eddie cringes, gaze snapping over to Luke, possibly mystified as to why he's the one in the wrong, here.
[01:15] "Writing would be fine, yes."
[01:16] * DrMcCoy is not impressed. But he won't discuss it with the gentleman in question able to listen in... He flips through his notepad for a clean piece of paper. And writes something down on it.
[01:17] * @HarveyDent looks.... a little bit relieved, though not entirely satisfied. "Alright."
[01:18] * Eddie slumps. No, no, don't -do that-.
[01:19] Paper might be usefull. And writting utensils. Giles should have a guard go get something like that. As he's only got the one pen, and he's learned not to give pens to patients
[01:19] * DrMcCoy finishes whatever it is, and folds the paper. And hands it to Eddie.
[01:20] * JohnDoe sits both dolls in his lap, looking at them with a great deal of concentration. What should they talk about in front of ~these people~? Not the fact that, when the bat kills him, he'll have won. Not that. He doesn't want to play anymore, all of a sudden.
[01:20] * Eddie sullenly takes the note.
[01:21] [It reads "And what makes you think provoking him is a good idea? Esp. in group?"]
[01:25] * Eddie writes on the page in marker, carefully, because the ink'll bleed and mess up the letters.
[01:27] * Eddie hands that back.
[01:28] * DrMcCoy takes the paper back, and unfolds it, and reads.
[01:29] * Simon doesn't want to do this.
[01:31] [It reads "want him to get kicked out. talking about personal stuff around him is stupider than provoking him."]
[01:33] Everyone can get paper, and as the markers seem to write decently, they can use those. Have fun!
[01:34] * Simon promptly begins to color his entire paper in, in black.
[01:35] * DrMcCoy would usually shake his head and leave it at that, but Eddie... needs a little more explanation. Writing! ["Maybe. But it makes -you- look bad. We can talk about anything personal later."]
[01:36] * Eddie folds the paper up several times and hands it back, then tucks his hands into the sleeves of his robe.
[01:37] * DrMcCoy takes it back, and slips it in a pocket, with a nod.
[01:37] * @HarveyDent has to think about this for a while. And then, very slowly, starts writing. It seems to be just a very typical small talk conversation.
[01:37] Giles is just going to sigh at Simon's coloring. How's everyone else doing?
[01:41] * Eddie isn't writing anything, now.
[01:44] * JohnDoe starts writing. His handwriting varies from very large to very small letters, all scribbled and difficult to follow. If one puts in the effort, he is discussing Eddie's imminent demise from disease with Batman, then they both have a good laugh over the matter. He's clearly taking this very seriously.
[01:47] * DrDrake is certainly curious as to what he's writing. Are any of them game enough to look?
[01:48] * DrMcCoy may brave it, in a moment, if no one else does. (Anybody? Anybody?) Right now, he's earned a crazy-break, dammit, and a little cake.
[01:49] * Simon has black ink all over his hands.
[01:49] * DrGiles is watching Simon's crazy, okay? And Harvey's, and Eddie's. He's multi-crazy-tasking.
[01:50] * DrDrake supposes that she will look, then. And frown, once she can actually decipher it.
[01:52] * Simon has a black piece of paper, now he's done.
[01:52] * @HarveyDent 's crazy is really very not. Though the small talk is pretty blatant issue-avoiding, honestly.
[01:54] * Eddie leans back in his chair and shuts his eyes.
[01:58] * DrMcCoy finishes up a bit more cake. And... okay, back to work. "Eddie? Would you like to leave the session early?" Not as a punishment, this time.
[02:01] "No, thank you." Definitely not after it was established as a punishment.
[02:02] * DrMcCoy nods.
[02:03] "Actually, I think we're done for the day. It might be best to go over the conversations in private sessions any way...."
[02:08] * JohnDoe picks up his dolls and shrugs. He was hoping they'd discuss it here. "So..we...get to keep these, right?" Simon does, apparently, so he should too. Only fair.
[02:08] "That would be a fine idea." Especially with Johnny in here.
[02:09] <@HarveyDent> "Please." A grimace. The last think he needs is more joking... The dolls, he couldn't care less about.
[02:09] "I think that's a good idea." Given what Johnny-or-Bill there is writing and what have you.
[02:09] * Simon picks up his two dolls, looking at them soberly.
[02:10] * Eddie nods slightly.
[02:17] * DrMcCoy looks to Giles. People keep their dolls, or no?
[02:18] "You can take the dolls with you, if you'd like..." Otherwise Giles is keeping them. May be for another session.
[02:19] * @HarveyDent gives a polite smile. "I'll pass, thanks."
[02:20] * Simon nods, though a bit sheepishly. "I'll keep mine..."
[02:21] * JohnDoe will be keeping his and smiles, scooping them up behind the wrist restraints. It will give him something to do other than pick at his stitches, at least.
[02:22] * DrMcCoy will pack up his cake, then, what's left of it. Guards, time to take care of things?
[02:24] * DrMcCoy will, -once Johnny is restrained again- and not a second before, say to the guards, "And if you wouldn't mind bringing Mr. Doe down to the infirmary before he goes back to his cell, I need to put some new gloves on him."
[02:25] * Simon goes back peacefully with his guard. But if he gets teased about the dolls, he'll kick him.
[02:25] If Simon gets teased about the dolls, Giles is getting someone written up.
[02:26] * JohnDoe pouts at Dr. McCoy. "I don't think that's necessary."
[02:27] "If he says it is, it is."
[02:28] * DrMcCoy is unmoved, sorry. "Once woken up at four am to deal with a re-opened surgical incision, twice shy."
[02:30] * @HarveyDent smirks a little at the Joker's predicament, as he's gathered up to go. Very peacefully, as always. Grabbing his coin off the table as he leaves.
[02:32] * JohnDoe huffs, but doesn't fight. He gets to keep the dolls. No sense having that taken away, too. He'll suffer another set of gloves.
[02:33] * DrMcCoy will have to figure out.... some way... of rewarding him for good behavior. That's going to be an interesting puzzle.
[02:42] * DrDrake thinks that'll be...amazing. Maybe they can give that puzzle to Eddie.
[02:43] * DrMcCoy thinks Eddie's answer would involve another gun. So... no.
[02:45] * DrGiles will gather up the left dolls and hand each doctor their patients 'conversations'. He give's Simon's an interesting look.
