Partially to get his plan out before he starts to pick out it's illogical bits, and partially to beat whatever gossip the guards are spreading about him.
It could work. It could get Simon to trust him, just a little bit. Enough to get him to eat on his own, just a bit. Enough to get him to talk. If only House will let him try.
House's assistant seems amused at the sight of the normally calm Dr. Giles running up to her desk, breathing in a way that tells him he needs to start working out, and asking to see Dr. House, as soon as possible, please.
