Really, A Post?

Holy crap.

Between moving, setting-up, hosting, landlord issues, repair issues, martial artsing, traveling spouses, painting, working crazy overtime everyday and doing normal household stuff, the last few weeks have flown by in a blur. Just today at about 9pm was the first time in a while that I"ve felt like there was nothing urgently pressing for my attention. The first time that I've been able to just sit a relax for a bit. And it's not that there's nothing to do, it just not anything that needs immediate attention.

It's a nice change.

As I mentioned work has been under a push recently to get the current jobs done so that we can start a bunch of new ones. There are a few that have been going for some time now, one as far back as October, which for a landscaping job, is a LOOOOOOOOONG time. Luckily, I think the job I'm working on will be ending right quick, so I'll be able to get onto something new.

In a similar vein, I took a bunch of pictures of our front yard and the plants in it right now and am working on putting them together into a plan for improving the look of the yard. Next weekend is the Vandusen plant sale, which we're planning on hitting with our cottage neighbours, which will help, but I'd like to try to put something nice together for the front. And I want to try to convince the landlord to let me build the fence. That way I know it'll be nice, well built, and something that we find attractive. Which would be cool.

In other news, I'm trying to work on my guitar more, as I don't want to forget everything I've ever learned and because I'm supposed to start teaching Saby after the wedding. I find that it helps to know what one is doing first though. I also have to get my electric in to get tuned up and cleaned properly. It's been a while and it shows.

Also, my dad's birthday is this week and I need to go see if I can find something for him. Soon.

Dammit there IS something that needs attention. Hmpf.

Oh yeah and I finally got a haircut tonight! I can see again! Thanks Lisa!
