How It Went

Sep 07, 2006 17:25

Pretty well, all in all.

I had to wait around for a while before the guy I needed to talk to showed up, but I got to have a bottle of water and a couple of cookies (they were vegan!) and help the receptionist upload some photos while I waited.

The interview itself wasn't too long. More taking stock of what I have and have done then an in depth interview. The guy said that with what I have now, I would have to be hired as a labourer, and then show them that I actually had skills that would lead to a higher wage. I'm okay with that I think. If I can't prove myself in a few weeks, then I'm not as experienced as I thought and I need to spend some time getting the basics down anyways. So we'll see.

He didn't have anywhere that I could go today, but he made a few calls before I left and said that he may have something as soon as tomorrow, or next week. He also said that he was going to try his best to get me in with a crew if he could.

Upsides: - Job
- Money
- Experience
- High quality company

Downsides: - May have to get a car
- Would have to get a couple of tools

I think that the upsides win this round. But that's moot if I don't hear from them. So I keep looking for now.
