Am working at Banyan this morning, one of the characteristics of which is that you are constantly talking about and/or talking to very successful people. And I was thinking (somewhat distractedly) that a large portion of my own worldview revolves around a central tenet: That I personally, and to a large extent those around me as well, will be successful at whatever it is that we ultimately choose to do, regardless of the current or future environments. Specifically, while I have opinions and views about the direction I think things should take on all levels (from the personal to the national and global) I ultimately believe that whatever happens I will come out on top eventually and be happy with the outcome. It may take a lot of work, a lot of uncertainty in the short- or medium-term, and I may not be happy about the process or the length of time etc. (hence my consistent worrying about everything) but I have never, not once, entered a state of actual despair for the eventual outcome (not that I can remember anyway). At any rate I was wondering if this was a common trait amongst all of you or am I abnormal?
