(no subject)
Spent a very long day painting : started on painting the walls of the outbuilding - having spent time yesterday prepping them i.e. scrapping, filling, fungicidal wash and sealing the bare bits also unscrewing the trellis' supporting the roses. So today it was all painting. Started off disastrously by using the wrong paint (vinyl matt instead of exterior). nitoda managed to point this out after I'd done about half a wall. In fact it looks better (at the moment) than the paint I was supposed to use. Found paining behind the trellis (and roses) tricky work as the roses were entangled with the trellis and I couldn't get them far from the wall. Also got very hot, as I was wearing my painting kit - an old vinyl motorcycling suit. I was wearing a tee-shirt under it in the am but this got soaked so in the pm I didn't put it back on and ended up with red stains (from the suit quilting on my bra). In the end I managed to finish the outbuilding and some of the main house too. . So I really needed a good soak before dinner.
Also received a formal job offer this morning, for the job at the dti in London (so our move to London is that much nearer). It came with health and security questionnaires too, which seem to want to know everything! I wonder if they really want to know about /both/ my partners? Seemingly they do want to know about my complete criminal record - speeding in a 30 mph zone in a Reliant Robin in 1980 ).
