Is it happening again? Can I make sure my child is learning in school this time?

Here is the thing I am told, as long as we can read what your child writes and we can figure it out it will not be counted as wrong???What is that?  My seven year old wrote " I yousto pack my lunch"  and was not corrected for this she had a big smiley face saying good job???  She had one correction on that paper and it was for not making a capital letter at the beginning of one sentence.  She had two other words that should have been capitalized.
