that drama was.. rather good XD
in case you were wondering, it's Yamada's drama and it's about these 5 kids who are in training to be the succesor of this really famous detective, Morihiko Dan. they're in his special class(the Q class) the thing is, there's only gonna be 1 succesor, so even though they're friends, they're also rivals.
as you may have guessed, it's a mystery.. and it's pretty graphic, too..
*SPOILER WARNING* (heh, my definition of "spoiler" can be pretty.. unstable at times.. i don't think there's very many spoilers here, but you be the judge ^^;)
their first case, first it was about this high school girl who got killed in a "sealed room murder", but then they found out that it was much more involved and the person who killed all the victims was their sensei. OMG, that was so detailed.. i couldn't possibly give a better synopsis without it being 1/2 a page long XD. i can't believe how they figured it all out.. in the end, they worked together, even though they're rivals
k, moving on.. the main characters-
Kyuu, one of the students of the Q class. he's really.. flustered most of the time, ne.. he's the one that, i think, is holding the class together and is the one thinking about their friendship the most. i think he's crushing on Megu??
Megu, the only girl in the Q class. she has a photographic memory and she's really sensitive about dead.. stuff. when she first saw that body cut in half, she panicked and started having these flashbacks of all these dead stuff.. i feel really bad for her, but her gift is AMAZING!
Ryuu (lol, how confusing is that? Kyuu and Ryuu), he's played by Yamada and he's another one of the students of the Q class. from the beginning, you could tell that he's really smart and he's a really good detective. he's sorta.. the one reminding Ryuu that they're rivals and stuff.
Kinta, he's the oldest of the 5, i think.. he often acts without thinking and he's not in very much scenes, so i can't really describe him. i guess he often works alone and he gets all the background information?? he's sorta the rebel of the group, i guess.
Kazuma, the 5th student of the Q class. he's the computer whiz, demo he's not very geeky at all.. he's also spiritual and believes in ghosts, it seems, he attempted to use runes to solve the case.
Dan-sensei, he reminds me of Charlie (from Charlie's Angels) in a way. he communicates to the Q class through videos.. and at the end, you can see that he's in a wheelchair. it doesn't look like he was dying soon, though.. um, he seems familiar? OH! he's the dad from 1 Litre of Tears! i knew i saw him somewhere before XD

this drama can be funny, yet serious. in my opinion, the funny scenes aren't where they should be. like, that scene where Kyuu called Kazuma for assistance, but he was a a maid's bar?? IDK, it really ruined the mood for me.. that was a really suspenseful scene.
ROFL, at the ending credits, next to Yamada's name in parentheses was "(ジョニース Jr.)". geez, Johnny.. anything for publicity?
maybe that was the reason why he's in this drama?? *sigh* that made me laugh so hard, for some reason.
