Shaman is it? I've read about such people. Spirit mediums, they can perceive those who have passed on and even bend them to their will. While I doubt there is much of a threat, it bears investigation. What was the boy's name?

I have met the other shinigami, I will investigate him further myself.

Regarding the melons, I did find and break one, a green melon from the 5th patch. I tried various strategies, and it finally burst when I immersed it in the lake.

I will make contact with the boy myself and see if I can gain a measure of his abilities.

It is good that you have earned his trust, any further advantages we can glean are always worthwhile.

I wasn't really interested in the melon for it's taste, were that the case I'd have bought an ordinary melon at the store. I was more interested in seeing how they were opened. I've not yet regained any memories though, as some people have been saying happens when you open the melons.

Eh? What a waste of a free melon... Had I known that I would of gotten me another one. I only got a colorful one, but ya say ya didn't get any? Maybe it'll come later? That ever happen before?

I can handle the child, rest assured.

For now, just feel him out, see what he is. Something of interest to note, the badge he wears around his arm denotes that he is the vice-captain of the 3rd division, and thus is - or was - your subordinate.

It's possible it will come later. I haven't had any inclination to try another melon and see if it does anything.
