Today I went to the USS Arizona memorial. They took away my bag. For security resaons they said I wasn't allowed to bing it in. I was pissed. When I asked the guy why they had such huge security messures he asked if I knew what 9/11 was. *glare* Do I look like I'm five years old? So I began a rant in my head listing all the memorials and such that I had been to where they didn't take my music, journal and copy of Eclipe away from me. When we got in my anger was hightened by the fact that we had to wait 2 hours to take the boat to the memorial. I took my anger out on the pigeons.
When they fianlly let us in we watched a video that said everyone who was alive that day remembers where they were when they heard of the attack on Pearl Harbor. That was kind of a slap across the face for me. I wasn't alive for the attack on Pearl Harbor, but I remember exactly where I was on Sept. 11.
In other news, I tried surfing yesterday. Warning: You WILL get water up your nose. I also got the worst sunburn in my life. The backs of my hands are sunburned. The backs of my legs are so sunburned it hurts to walk. And I want BioFreeze very badly.
So right now, I'm sitting in the hotel room and watching young children be thrown off a wave barrier by waves. I think they're having fun. It's hard to tell from 22 floors up. On that note, There's a huricane comeing. It's going to hit The Big Island, not near where I am right now, but it's enough that it was the headliner on the local paper and the Weather Channel. Enough to scare people.
Now what I really need right now is an icon of Josh and Donna when they are on the plane for Hawaii, right when Josh says, "The bringing you part was all me." But alas, I am not anywhere near my icon collection and even so I'm not sure if I have an icon of that. Oh well.
