Once I had a dream,
and this is it.....

The sky was dark
The moon was gone
And in the fields I walked alone

The wind was rising
It's sound like a song
And in the fields I was alone

From the east I heard
A voice so honey sweet
And in the fields I stood alone

The voice called my soul
My heart it did entreat
And in the fields I seemed alone

My name was called
The voice beckoning me to it's side
And in the fields I ran alone

I found her kneeling
A vision so beautiful my heart cried
And in the fields we were alone

I knelt beside her
As I asked her trouble
And in the fields we knelt alone

She lifted her hand to my face
She coressed my stuble
And in the fields we cried alone

She drew me closer
Then pressed her lips to my ear
And in the fields I listened alone

She told me her secret
She said why she was here
And in the fields I smiled alone

I smiled wide
As I held her tight
And in the fields we kissed alone

We walked forward
Twords the end of the night
And in the fields I was no longer alone

I'm very pleased with this poem. I have not written an epic like story poem in a very long time...years I think. I don't know where the insperation for this one came but I'm glad it did. The first two lines are borrowed from a Nightwish song called Dark Chest of Wonders and it's those two first lines I wrote and it seems all that followed just decided to come out at last. So here is a good poem and once again someone has called me brillian. Thoug you know I never think that of myself. Later Days!
