[lyrics] Aria, by TOKIO

For elilinne. Ummm, I actually haven't listened to this song very much until they asked, but now it's probably one of my favourite songs to hear in Nagase's voice. I think I just have a thing for him singing about the mature side of love and relationships all quiet and smooth and soft-like ( Read more... )

It's such a nice song! I just love mature songs that talk about letting go and stuff. I don't know why. XD

And it's really no problem! :D If there're any other TOKIO songs you want translated, I'll do my best.

Thank you friend!! Good luck to you too ♥

Thank you!
Only one question...
Isn't the title ARIA (アリア) instead of AREA?
Anyway, this is a wonderful song. ^^

Ah yes the katakana does say A-RI-A, but I thought it was the katakana for 'Area'? Or at least that's what it says on some blogs that I saw. :O

And it's really a great song ;_____; I don't know why it seems like I'm only translating the heartbreaking love songs BUT I SWEAR THAT'S NOT MY INTENTION ahahahaha!

Maybe because I'm Italian, but I think that ARIA refers to a melody.
Aria: an elaborate song written specifically for a solo voice, often used to describe songs from operas. Arias are almost always accompanied by instrumental music, but there is only one voice.

It's a particular type of melody. ^_^

Don't mind about "heartbreaking love song"! With Nagase's voice they're the best ones! ^__^

Oh! So "aria" is an Italian word?

THAT'S SO COOL. And the meaning really fits! Considering the fact that TOKIO doesn't have an official romaji for the title, that sounds like a much more beautiful way to think of it.

I mean, 'Area'. What the heck does that even mean.

I'm going to add that tidbit to my post, if you don't mind! :D

I loooooove this song! I was actually confused at first because I thought it was called 'Aria' also so I was like 'OMG I MISSED A SONG'. But yeah, totally love love love this song!

YES WELL IT IS ARIA, APPARENTLY. I'M A BIG IDIOT. But we all knew that. I just saw some Japanese blog calling it "Area" so I was like 'welp if that's what it is in Romaji...'

This song is really nice! But then, I'm a sucker for songs where Nagase sings about wonderfully heart-wrenching stuff. XD

It's like, I'm so used to him being a natural wonder of the world for his stupidity--I mean ingenuity that you kind of get really surprised when he does vocals for intensely painful songs like this that provoke mature thought. XD

LIKE WHEN I FIRST LISTENED TO SOMETIMES IT WAS LIKE ???? NAGASEKUN HOW???? are you sure you wrote this

I keep forgetting that there is a 35 year old man under all that four year old immaturity I swear!!

after considerably read over and over again..still don't understand the song..My best guess is an unrequited feeling Nagase for that person..(Toma?..hehe) but that person already have someone he/she loves ..so Nagase just being really heart broken...awww or B-chan could explain to me what 's the meaning of the song bc Im stupid :(((

From what I understood, the singer was in a relationship with someone but wasn't able to be a good lover to them. He wants to try again and to make up for lost time, but he knows it's too late.

And at the end his lover leaves him. :') But not without remembering that they were in love once.

IT'S VERY TRAGIC
