First Day in Moyer

Well here I am at NWC, and I can tell you most assuredly that Xanga is not blocked!  Hurrah.

Let me just say that living in Moyer is indeed very different from living in the dorms.  I am enjoying it very much in here but I am glad that I had the dorm experience for a few years first.  This place is quite large - our quad alone is about the size of the main floor of my house.  But the kitchen is twice as cozy, and the residents are twice as many
I can't complain about the bathroom situation at all though - one full bathroom (w/ oddly triangular-shaped shallow tub & shower) for every two girls.  And my bedroom that I will soon share with Larisa is about 2/3 the size of our dorm living room last year.  Not too shabby at all!

I had a bunch of helpers when I moved in this afternoon!  Right when I pulled up I saw Lydia and Sarah and Josh standing outside the building.  So Lydia and Sarah started grabbing boxes and Lydia grabbed Carl and everyone helped bring everything upstairs, it was wonderful
So I wanted to pay everyone back with spaghetti!  Tonight I made loads of spaghetti (with the kind assistance of Sarah Z!) and we invited pretty much half of Moyer up to partake
There are quite a few people that are moved into the building already.  I'm the seventh person out of eight to move into the quad, and school doesn't even start for almost a week and a half.

Sooo yeah, I'm kind of stalling in the picture department.  The pans I tried to do didn't turn out so well, and you can't even really tell where the furniture is in them, but here they are!

BEFORE (minus the bed, and still after much of the furniture was rearranged):

AFTER (imagine the two pans connected evenly):

I'll have to try again next time I go home.  Oh well!!

My roommates are wonderful and I'm excited for Larisa to get here and move in too and our quad is really really nice and spacious and our balcony is huge and I'm halfway unpacked and orientation is starting soon and Evan and I are going to have a fun group and we're going to do fun things with them and I'm going to be taking interesting classes from interesting professors and I get to have the Grandpamobile on campus this year and and I have the sudden urge to bake cookies!
