Respite at 3am

it caresses softly, hands trailing
over spent muscles and aching joints;
soft reverberations of lullabies
long since sung of dreams faraway
from nights sandy-eyed, flagging
under cups of lukewarm coffee
flogged by essays and sentence structures
minds clicking at one thirty beats per minute
feeling the echoes of sleep calling with
lewd glances

Hahahaha not really look so much as glanced at with a passing thought.
I just so happened to be checking out my girlfriends LJ and I wondered if anyone is still using theirs. I stopped using mine near to a year ago.
Sounds like you're due for something good...I hope it comes around soon.
From the looks of it, you're about the same as me. I'm currently residing in Colorado with my Grandma. My days consist of practicing guitar for several hours a day, training occasionally, reading, writing and just killing time. My move to Cali has been confirmed for sometime in July and I'm setting up for school along with it. All in all, not too much. However, there should be a change of pace coming soon.

I must admit...I am rather curious on what you're going to be doing. I've always enjoyed your writing in all it's shades, moods, tones and structures. That said, I'm nothing short of effervescent over the thought of perhaps reading literature written by you.

I'm sure you have no doubt that it is absolutely heavenly leaving Hamilton. The one thing I learned quickly after leaving Hamilton was how much of a burden that city is. Enjoy your time away haha!

Dreaming is an excellent thing but don't forget that often...dreams can become so much more. Doubtless that is useless information that is well known to you already but I thought I would say it nonetheless. *shrugs*

You're going to have to tell me how your trip is. I've always wanted to visit the UK in general but Ireland, Scotland & Wales particularly. I still plan on making the trek out there some day but it's not feasible for the time. Either way, tell me what you think.

Good? Good?! Work is a vampire that sucks me dry. Bone dry. It is bringing me back to a "hate life" stage. But I suppose that that is neither here nor there really. I need the money too badly not to work.

I am going to be attempting to write some more poetry with formal structure and meter. Sonnets. Triolets. Villanelles. Sestinas. Elegys maybe eventually. But also keep up the free verse. Of course. I haven't written much of anything for near a month.

I am thinking that I will never see Hamilton as a burden. I did grow up here afterall. It is in my blood.

I never want anything else than my dreams.

Hope everything goes well in your move to California. And when are you starting school?
