So, it seems like we've all forgotten how to adapt here. So that people don't die because of stupidity, here's something that might help.

First thing, learn how to conserve your supplies. Rationing them will work. Even if you're hungry, you still have enough to get through whatever the scientists are pulling. Complaining and whining about a lack ( Read more... )

Being homeless in New York is pretty tough, too.

Not exactly if you have street smarts and can learn how to steal food and scrounge supplies.

There are, unfortunately, people who are above stealing, even in a time of desperation.

You have to make do with what you've got, even if it's not part of who you are.

I suppose that's true. Still, the amount of people unwilling to do that is surprisingly high.

Well, in a city like this where are there those who walk on the side of "good" would still keep to their morals.

I'm talking realistically, not idealistically.

I assume most people know how to ration--although that could be assuming too much.

If people start stealing from each other in this city, things have gone awfully downhill, wouldn't you say?

Knowing this city? Yes, it would be.

Descending into chaos? You bet.

How unfortunate.

Well, I have nothing to worry about. They can take all the food they want from me. I really wouldn't care.

And then you'd die of malnourishment or starvation, idiot.

I haven't yet. Although, I must admit I would be upset if food was stolen from Eiri-san, Mika-san, or Ryuichi-san.

Duh. They're the ones most important to you.

Perhaps. Although, none of them are eating much lately, either. I wonder if Eiri-san is unwell....

What about you? Do you have enough food or are you simply not eating?

They must be rationing, too.

Well, gee. If I was the one putting this up, what do you think?

Mm, that might be. However, I think it's the bout of depression we seem to be suffering some that's curbing our hunger.

What do I think? I think you're probably passing out all the food you have to people who have less than you.

Eh. Live in the present.

Right, and pigs will start flying tomorrow, because that's totally what I'm doing.
