[On the way to the Latimir, Kai has been observant of his surroundings in case of anything comes out to attack him. So far, so good. However, the snow and chilly temperatures has had him wrap his arms around his body to conserve warmth. Suzaku being out of her blade is an added bonus, though, since she has been keeping Kai warm.
