The damn damn agency men came to deal with the ivy issue I'd reported i.e. growing into the ventilator for the shower. I had taken the offending strands back so the caged bits were dead. All they had to do was remove them. instead they stripped every scrap of ivy off the outside of the house (both sides) and garage and all the ivy and wildflowers at the wall side of the drive. the only ivy they didn't touch was the stuff interfering with the shower ventilation.
I hadn't taken a proper look before because I'd been dreading confirmation of my suspicions. They also went off with one of my garden recycling bags.
I am so mad. I can barely articulate it.
The one bit of the damn property I can actually enjoy and they've buggered it up.

Oh, of ourse - they've left one other bit of ivy. The one growing through the garage doorframe and making it disintegrate ever faster.
They've also taken a hedgetrimmer to the area either side of the gate. So now I have to overprune it to give some hope of a shape when it regrows. Grr.
