(no subject)
ive discovered a few things since i've been unemployed.....
like, 400 channels on the TV is really not that many....
and i am capable of spending an amazing amount of time doing nothing.
and, i'm a really creative bartender...
and, there's really no reason to get out of bed before 11.
and, even though i desperately need a job, i still don't want one.
i'm eeking by on freelance work, but i have no enthusiasm for it... about the only thing i do have enthusiasm for is sleeping and laying around at the pool.
i dutifully apply for my VEC mandated 2 jobs per week, and check in with my agency, then sweat it that one of them is going to call me back.
so i was standing in my front yard today, to get away from the kids for a couple minutes... and i was watching my nextdoor neighbor mulching her flower baeds, and thinking how i really ought to be mulching my flower beds too.... when my grey cat strolled over to where the neighbor was shoveling, proceeded to hunker down and dig out a big hole in the brand new mulch, and pee in it. then she filled that hole up, and did the whole thing again. i was horrified. embarrassed. the nerve of that cat. thank god the neighbor at least pretended she thought it was funny....
