alright, so i'm watching american idol. that's ugly and i'm sorry and ashamed, but that's beside the point. here's what just makes my teeth hurt. they had annie lennox on there, and she was wearing this awful black satin dress, sitting at a piano singing 'bridge over troubled water.'

what happened to my shaved head, polished boots, black suit wearing, whip snapping gotterdammerung?? not that i expected her to remain a perfect freeze dried version of her 80s self, but it was just so.... 180 degrees into ickyness. i guess if she's happy being icky, it's her god given right, i just hope i have more sense than that when i get old. not that i think i'm all cool now or anything, i just don't want to end up being all horrible and shclocky. i'd rather just be all screwed up. poor annie.
