Unwelfare

I have no money. I could not buy Christmas presents nor new clothes nor food nor rent no nothing from late November until now.  Because "Mister" will not fill out a form for Centrelink which will correct our situation as separated but living under one roof until he moves out in a few weeks.

He says I am looking for easy money from the government because I can't be arsed looking for work. Seriously. I have my first job interview in eleven months tomorrow morning. I had a great job until the "economic crisis" hit in late 2008 and I was let go by my brand new boss. There is very little work in the events industry at the moment which is not my fault. I am not lazy. I am looking for work everywhere, even positions and in industries I have little knowledge of in the hope that I will get something with these wonderful companies. But now I am giving up hope. I am just looking to get by. To eat and pay my rent, bills, transport and job-seeking costs. I have not bought any extra odds or ends like event tickets, gifts, new clothes or anything else which has not been fully-required since I moved to Brisbane in 2006 because I have been too ashamed to ask for money from my own parents. I cannot even take part in the Australian tradition of shouting a round of beer because I panic about how I am getting home that night. How dare he accuse me of being lazy? How dare he accuse me of doing anything other than what I need to in order to take half-decent care of myself?

The Middle East is in smitherines. The Pope is isolating a whole section of Christianity due to his outdated beliefs. Many other leaders are destroying the "common peoples'" lives in either asserting power or beliefs. People are hurting themselves and others all over the world. My cousin's husband's uncle over in England strangled his wife on New Year's Eve. She's dead now, leaving her two young sons behind in this life under the protection of her murderous husband.

I feel terrible saying this, but I cannot see any good in the world right now.

work, money, hope, wankers
