Maybe This Time - Liza Minnelli. This needs no explanation. I mean Really. It's Liza.
Defying Gravity - Wicked. This song is what I love to sing when I'm feeling on top of the world. This happens often. Though not as often as I'd like.
Another Suitcase in Another Hall - Evita. Because Evita is amazing. And because I'm amazing. So really, the whole thing makes sense.
Stay with Me - Into the Woods. This is a rather sweet song. I kind of pictured singing this to Finn when he was angry about Puck. But in the end, it never came around.
It Had to Be You - Priscilla Lane. I always feel like singing this. Every girl must feel this way about someone at some point. And I think I have, like 5 times.
I Got Lost in His Arms - Annie Get Your Gun. Finn makes me feel this way. All loopy inside. Isn't he just adorable? Sorry I got sidetracked. Where were we?
Embraceable You - Girl Crazy. Another Romantic song. This is just the section of odes to my love for Finn. I really can't describe how I feel without a lyric or two, or a whole song.
On How to Be Lovely - Funny Face. I try and use this song as guidance. So far, it hasn't worked, not that I think, anyway. But here's to hoping it will anyway.
On my Own - Les Miserable. This is my go to sad song. I mean, it's kind of the song I think of when I recall how I felt when I thought I would always be. And sometimes how I feel I would be when I'm in New York.
People - Barbra Streisand. Do I even have to tell you? It's Barbra. And It's a CLASSIC.
The Danube Waves - Ion Ivanovici. The idea of waves is calming. And in order to have a proper think, sometimes, calming is necessary. Really necessary.
1812 Overture, Serenade for Strings - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. I had to throw a Tchaikovsky in there. The man is genius. And this overture will be remembered for ages. Mark my words.
Voices of Spring - Johann Strauss. It reminds me of flowers. I like flowers. I can name all flowers I find, you know.
Songs My Mother Taught Me - Dvořák. I feel we all need to remember things our mothers taught us. Though really my mother taught me nothing. I taught myself everything.
I am the very model of a modern Major-General - Pirates of Penzance. I am occasionally in the need for a nice comedic song. And this one is great because it stimulates the senses. And who doesn't like rhymes. Andbetween Penzance and Pinafore I think the former is the greater of the two.
Greensleeves. The classic English melody is classic for a reason. Though many don't know its origins, I do. It's absolutely heavenly, and it belongs there.
Peer Gynt: In The Hall Of The Mountain King - Grieg. Sometimes one needs a rather peculiar song for thinking. And sometimes one needs a song that will make your hairs stand on end. This piece is both.
Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven. In my opinion the most classic of the Beethoven pieces. So melancholy and yet so sweet. Perfect for a lie down.
Fur Elise - Beethoven. Another classic of his. The man is a genius. This is perfect for those tough riddles.
Berceuse, Nocturne op. 9 no. 1 - Chopin. Sometimes my best thinking is done when sleeping. And this song is best listened to when drifting off. It gives wonderful dreams.
