i am so much in love with the giants right now. i mean, i love them all the time anyway (it's genetic) but right now i have 800 bucks that i wouldn't have without them, so they get extra love while i spend my cash.

living for inspiration,
Ophelia

Srsly. We're about to do some Stoppard in my acting class, and while I've seen the play twice, I'd never actually read it before. So it counts :P

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern was one of the most hilarious books I ever read in English in high school. It was wonderful XD

I count "R&G" as one of the more influential texts I ever tripped across. The notion of giving these minor characters the spotlight, of moving the proverbial camera during the whole "Hamlet" thing to another room... yes, there's more to the play than the central conceit/gimmick, but a young writer can get his mind blown just on the basics. More than one (though not all) of my scripts betray the influence, I think.

Regrettably, I never got to do it for a class.

(I'm 98% sure we had this conversation already, probably around the "Travesties" time, but you know I love repeating the good ones.)

Not sure if you noticed, but JoCo was interviewed on This Week In Tech this week (www.twit.tv). They spend a good hour talking to him about a bunch of stuff that at least I found interesting.

Also: I found myself spontaneously doing the Code Monkey dance after I listened to the song for probably the first time in three months. That thing is engrained into my friggin brain, man.
